Why on Earth are the Bulls, 6 games under .500, ahead of the Heat, 4 games over .500, when have beaten them 2 times already? IS this a joke? that is pathetic. What do you think of these rankings?

You can't take these things to serious, teams are usually overated when they win 3 or 4 in a row, and underated when they 3 or 4 in a row.

because power Rankings are purely about stats. By adding Salmons and Miller it made us go up. But as the guy said its basically garbage.

wow, those rankings are a joke!! mark stein is a disgrace! what a bastard! i have been pissed for the past month with his rankings, ill stick to the nba.com rankings, at least john schumann is fair.

how the hell do the bulls end up at 14? my nets who are one game better than the bulls should be higher than 21 as well. the heat should be 14, then the sixers, then pistons at 16, then the bucks at 17, then the nets at 18, then the bulls and so forth.

how does that halfcourt buzzer beater and the 42 point game by player of the week devin harris not get any attention? im so pissed right now.

I have always viewed power rankings as a "who's hot, who's not" type of ranking that dates back to the last week or month's rankings. Yes, in general, you will see the better teams in the league at the top. Hoever, if a team who is slightly below or above .500 wins four in a row, they will be ranked ahead of a team who has a slightly better record but has lost 4 in a row. And with the trade deadline just passing, their is probably more personal opinion involved than usual as you are speculating what effect a player or group of players is most likely to have.

YOU WISH! the Bulls are not even close to the level the Heat are on.

C'mon man. I know you hate the bulls, but the bulls are much better w/salmons and miller.

they have miller, drose, deng, salmons, hinrich, and bg7.

the heat have WADE, beasley, and other good players.

both teams are solid now.

the heat MAY be better than the bulls, but the 2 teams are close nonetheless.

 It's just power rankings. I don't understand how Stein could put the Bulls ahead of the Heat, but it's not like this holds any weight anywhere.

A ton of people in the Laker forum were pissed off that we were behind the Celtics and Cavs in Hollinger's rankings, and I really can't understand why. It's just someone's opinion, what difference does it make to us or our teams?

Our last game against you guys, it was tied at 93 and we had the ball with 3 seconds left. Too bad our coach is a ****** or we would probably have won.

Back in 04-05 We had 3 rookies who were playing a major role (Gordon, Deng, Duhon) a Sophmore (Hinrich) and a couple of 24 year olds (Curry and Chandler)

We finished 47-35 that season with the 3rd best record in the eastern conference so your record right now isn't that special considering you have a superstar on your team:)

And we are only 1 game back of the 8th seed and only 4.5 games back of your beloved Heat.

Wouldn't want you guys to choke now......you know like in the 06-07 playoffs when we swept you guys in 4.

Power rankings are based on weekly performances combined with the team's overall records, plus who the teams lost/defeated, how badly teams won/lost, and how well certain players on those teams are performing. Being mad because you feel your own team was dissed doesn't make power rankings non-credible, it just makes you pissed off.

its a power ranking, not record (w/l) ranking.there is a difference.(seriously it's like you dont know what one is).expamle:a team that beat lets say 6 bad teams can rank lower than one who beat 2/3 good ones but no one else

and the reason for it is because they beat two top tier teams, the magic and rockets(who have been playing very well of late)in the span of a week, plus i image carry over from the trades made

The Bulls are so much better than the heat it's not even funny! Haha what's the point of arguing this? Bulls fans are convinced we are better and Heat fans are convinced they are better. Who cares? It's not like we are arguing who's the best in the league and who is second best. A better argument would be who has the better future (BULLS!) because right now both teams are crap compared to the powerhouses of the league.

I'll give you an example of RECENT that proves we are a better team than you guys(Heat). A few days ago, the Bulls and Heat both came back from 15+ points in the 4th quarter. The difference was the Heat were playing the KNICKS and the Bulls were playing the ROCKETS! How do you even go down 15 to the Knicks?:speechless: The Bulls beat 3 top 4 teams from the East and the West (Nuggets, Magic, Rockets) in the span of 1.5 weeks and it was after we traded for them. Who have the Heat beat since they beat since they acquired JO?

You act like the Bobcats are a bad team. They are a pretty good team if you ask me. Look at both your rosters compared and tell me who is better:

PG Augustin > Chalmers
SG Felton < Wade
SF Wallace > Moon
PF Diaw > Haslem (Diaw is averagin 16/7 since being traded to Bobcats)
C Okafor > O'Neal

The only position you have on them is SG. It's pretty funny how cocky you Heat fans are. Now let's check out the Bulls and Heat:

PG Rose > Chalmers
SG Gordon < Wade
SF Deng > Moon
PF Tyrus = Haslem (TT is averaging 14 PPG/7 RPG/2 BPG since Jan. 1)
C Miller > O'neal (O'neal can't even play 1/2 the season)

Think about it, most teams has a way better players than the Heat do outside of SG.

Who cares power rankings don't mean anything.

I laugh at how trivial power rankings are and at how someone just said Brad Miller was better than Jermaine O'Neil. O'Neil is better at every part of the game except 3 pointers. Brad Miller is the rich man's Doleac. We passed on him for a reason. He's garbage. I'm not even sure he's better than Noah. Also, in your comparisons you forget to say how much better the SG position is for the Heat compared to other positions.

Whatever, agree to disagree. Maybe you'll win a game against the Heat this year.

Wade is leaving in 2010. Nuff said.

Pretty much...then you can go back to the Glen Rice days...where you couldn't win s.h.i.t....

Heat Fans have to be the dumbest MFers... you can't argue or debate for s.h.i.t. it's so easy to get you hyped up and all you can come back with is...

HEAT>>>>Bobcats>>>>Bulls

I thought Lakers fans were a bunch of p.u.s.s.i.e.s

for those who say wade is leaving miami in 2010, take a gander at this http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/trainingcamp08/columns/story?columnist=sheridan_chris&page=Heat-081006
given everything is specualtion until then, this is the most solid thing to be found regarding the topic at this point

and as far as bulls vs heat this season. miami is 2-0 against chicago. miami is 31-28 overall, chicago 27-34. miami is the 5 seed, and currently in the playoffs. chicago is the 10th seed, and currently not in the playoffs.

just saying

The West is still the best conference...sure the East has three of the top 4 teams in the league...but if you look at the other 5 teams, only the Hawks are kind of solid. The other teams are way too inconsistent.

Dallas is on pace to win 48 games or something and they are a lower seed.

why this idiot keep bragging about sweeping a heat team in the playoffs against a d-wade who had a bad shoulder and opted out of surgery to try and help his team win and wasn't a 100%...and a team who was already old and didnt care too much because we had a ring

the difference between you guys beating us in the playoffs and us beating you the year before is that we actually went on to win the championship and accomplished every teams goal...YOU guys went on to get your ***** handed to you by the PISTONS...

a healthy d-wade= 2 players of your bulls combined into one as you seen this season already
