well the heat are the 5th seed but I'd rather see the cavs. I think there's a better chance of beating them

Well, the Celtics are a little banged right now, so I think people want to play a banged up Celtics team than a dangerous Lebron James and the Cavs.

As a pacers fan I would rather play the celtics, and the only reason I say that is because the pacers have played Boston better than Cleveland. I know we wouldn't beat ether in a series though.:(

You say right now, what about come playoff time?

I go with Cavs, but it probably depends on what your team is.

Easier to stop 1 man than 3. Lebron gets in foul trouble, banged up a little, has a bad shooting night, Cavs have a better chance to lose.

Celtics have one of their big 3 in foul trouble or anything else, they always have the other 2 to pick it up.

I know I am being a bit of a homer, but with Cleveland having James I don't see how you would want to play them.

we are talking about maybe one win here. im huge sixers guy, im confident they'll make the playoffs, and i kno that they have no chance against either team. i could see them stealing a game against both...MAYBE two against the celts. but thats definitely it.

No Knicks? How come?

But if the Knicks get the 7th or 8th seed, I would want BOSTON!

That would be awesome. Marbury coming back to the Garden.

Either way, Sixers always play both teams VERY tough. In a playoff format, I can't imagine it being any different!

Both team will smoke the 7th or 8th seeds...but if playing the Cavs and Lebron gets hurt they might have a chance ..In Boston if KG gets hurt you still have Allen and Peirce

For the Bulls it would be the Cavs.

We have never lost a playoff series to the Cavs ever. Also we at least have won a game against them this year and we were close in another game. We also have better personnell now than we did when we played them earlier in the season.

I wouldn't want to play either. But I don't feel like any of those teams have anyone that can contain LeBron. Maybe Detroit.

Come playoff time, we saw last year that the Celtics were vulnerable in those first few rounds. And not that that really means anything for this years playoffs, but it is at least a psycholigical boost to know that they could be vulnerable, and at least a point the coach could use as motivation. Plus, while it would seem like the Celtics will be fine and healthy by the playoffs, it again might be a small point that would give you more confidence.

But either way really, the 7th and 8th seeds are ****ed.

i think celtics. they don't have the best player in the game. and if you're 7th or 8th seed, you don't have home court. and the cavs are unstoppable at home.

yeah but the bulls had MJ then, the cavs have lebron now.

Cavs...the Rockets proved the other day, Lebron CAN be shutdown. Just gotta push him around a little bit.

76Ers will have the 6th seed so they shouldnt be included..but as a Sixers fan I would take the Cavs cuz I still think they are 1 dimensional...LEBRON...and Iggy can defend him so we would have a better chance...

id rather play boston...i just think that this year the cavs r simply the better team.

I think for the Bulls id have to say i would feel more confident playing the Celtics rather than LeBron. I think we just match up with them better. Salmons could limit Pierce, Rose could easily slow down Rondo, Miller can contain Perkins, TT would probably struggle a little bit with Garnett, and we put Kirk on Allen, that should make things very interesting.

As a Pacers fan I would rather play the Celtics, but we already beat both this season. I think we could beat the Celtics in a series, only if we were healthy.

The Cavs because the Bulls always play them good and give them a run for their money throughout the game.

For sure. Maybe one game...but a 7 game series? That's the problem with the NBA's first round...no surprises.

id say celtics. against the cavs lebron can just beat you by himself. the celtics dont have a guy like lebron(well nobody does except maybe LAL or hornets) who cna just take over a game like he did last year in the conference finals

JackB

Of the teams listed they would prbably have to face both Boston and Cleveland to get to the finals. I would say the chances of beating either of those teams would be slim to non and slim left town.

Cavs. It's Lebron with a little bit of Mo. Just limit LeBron somewhat and your good.

Celtics, almost lost it last year in the 1st and against the right team they could lose it this year.

Celtics, almost lost it last year in the 1st and against the right team they could lose it this year.

Almost only counts in games of hand gernades and horseshoes. Of course you can say they could lose. But will they ? By the time the playoffs come around the C's will be healthy . Home court is the kicker in a playoff series if it comes down to Boston / Cavs. But the rest of the playoff teams are really pretenders. They should really just have a seven game series with the Cavs and Celtics now to see who plays the Lakers. The rest of the season and playoffs are a waste of time. It'll be Boston or Cleveland against the Lakers Case closed.
