I was at the game and saw him go over. It was during the end of free throws on the other end! Yes they were up 20, but it still freaked me out. Jim Boeheim took him out immediately :laugh2: .

SU's 21st victory of this season -- the one that will surely wend its way into the NCAA Tournament -- was so singularly lacking in drama that Harris, uninspired by what was taking place on the floor, actually paused for a bit of a snack while still in the lineup.

That his side was leading by 21 points with some 5 1/2 minutes to play before the intermission might have had something to do with Paul's boredom, if not his appetite.

"I was just, like, running down the court," he explained, "and a fan asked me if I wanted some popcorn."

Not wanting to appear impolite, the junior forward accepted the kindly offer, munched a bit . . . and was soon thereafter summoned to the bench by a displeased Jim Boeheim, who suffers poorly those with butter on their fingers.

"It was just a fun moment," Harris said. "That's all. Not much. I didn't mean anything bad by it. But Coach didn't like it. Not at all. I won't probably do that again. You'd have to turn the cameras off if you want me to tell you what he said."

I think I am at the point of my membership and leadership here on PSD where I know what should be in its own thread and what shouldn't. Thanks though.

Paul Harris is the man.

As long as he keeps on being as big of a monster on the boards as he is right now, then he can eat whatever he wants during the game.

Boeheim must've been pissed though.

And i think the college basketball forum is at the point where everytime someone has something to say or show they create an annoying and unnecessary thread.

Here are some thread titles for example:
"Trevor Booker is a beast"
"What do u think of Joodie Meeks at Uk"
"Morehead State... The Next Davidson?"
"Jai Lucas Question"
"Fan Walks Onto the Court During Game"

and then...
Paul Harris gets popcorn from a fan during the game

see the similarities
thanks.

The college basketball forum is slow and does not get a lot of new threads. This was a unique and funny instance, so I gave it a thread. Had it been in the SU thread, only SU fans who already saw the play would have seen it.

Let it go dude. Jesus.

Harris is a real good guy, not so much in the TO prima-donna mold. Not surprised Boeheim didn't see the humor though.

I think the timing was off...

5 min left in the first half, I don't care how much you're up, you don't do that because you can still lose that game...

Up 20 with 2 min left, ehh, Jimmy wouldn't have minded it so much...

Agreed. Like I said, when I looked over and saw it, I was mortified. It was hilarious to see Jimmy turn and grab a sub immediately though.

LOL that's a good one, but yeah seems like his timing was pretty bad.

Lmao typical Harris. Other than the Utes, the Orange are prolly my favorite team. Not surprised Boeheim was ticked though..

Who cares....he was hungry! I loved it...D-Mcnabb-esk. I'm just glad to see Paul is having fun out on the court again...just about a month ago there was speculation Paul was unhappy and leaving the team then Hopkins had to drive to Buffalo to talk him back onto the team.

Also loved the self alley-oop he just threw himself for the dunk a few minutes ago!

Oh Wrigs, making silly unnecessary threads. What's wrong with you! :p

I mean the other guy is right, he's been here only a half a year and knows this forum like the back of his hand! :D

Ok, I'm done being a *******.

Anways, this was pretty harmless and entertaining from Harris, but Boeheim did the right thing to take him out and let him know.

Make sure you watch the top 10 tonight if you're a Harris fan...he had about 4-5 plays that could end up on there.

The game had already evolved into a carnival. Flynn and Harris set the mood early in the second half, when Flynn -- coasting on a fast break -- flipped the ball off the backboard for Harris, who slammed it.

"I just said it once -- I said 'Off the glass,'" Harris said. "He looked. He shot it off the glass."

Boeheim was not as amused.

"I'm gonna tell you. Coach would rather Jonny lay the ball up, get the easy two," Harris said. "But sometimes plays like that change the game. I think that might have gave us the momentum in the game."

SU took a 23-20 lead at that point and never trailed the rest of the way.

Isn't the whole idea of a sports forum to discuss random sports topics that you would otherwise have no place to discuss? What a dipshyt lol.
