Bargs, Bosh, and Voskuhl all got in foul trouble all night long. Voskuhl, I love him but he had 6 fouls in 8 minutes (plus a technical)

I was saying yesterday when they played the Lakers that they ought to slow the game down and let Shaq go to work against Pau Gasol. The few times he did early on, the Lakers couldn't do anything about it. I was really surprised when they showed Gentry in the huddle telling them to keep the pace up and keep on running. Pau and Lamar can thrive in a running game, but Shaq was beating them up in the half court game.

It's awesome that he can still put up a few games like this. Should be interesting when the Lakers play Phoenix on Sunday...

They list shaq at 325, which I bet is on the low end. He's probably nearer 340. They list Bargs at 260, which I have a hard time believing. Either way, even if you go by their listed weights, shaq has 65 pounds easy on Bargs or Voshkul (255). He should dominate that like its 2001.

come on man.. they did try and double.. Plus not one call was put on shaq.. he could of stabbed someone than curb stomped him and still would of not drawn an offensive foul.. Terrible officiating..

shaq's performance was great. i'm definitely not taking anything away from this game.
but cmon, shaq took 25 shots, and only 8 FTAs? raptors' defense is a joke. atleast make shaq score from the line.

it's not only shaq dominanting. look at L. Admundson. who? yea, he dropped 20 and 10 with 4 blks and shot 9-11.

so yea, the suns center combined for 65 points, and 21 boards on 29-36 shooting.

inflated big time by all the no calls.

if a foul was called on every play involving Shaq then Shaq and the opposing team's big men would all foul out. He gets hacked every play and he just dishes it right back out.

Kobe scored 81 on the raptors with weaker people gaurding him, plus kobe was a lot younger than shaq is now.

It was Bargnani, Bosh, and Voshkul.
The Raptors have enough talent for this to be a solid one. They are certainly the best team the Suns have beaten since the allstar break

inflated big time by all the no calls.

Just give him credit man. There were plenty of no calls when Shaq was slapped on a bunch of his layups/dunks too.
Like when Boston went to the line every other trip on the Suns last Sunday, it wasn't bad officiating, it was we had no answer on defense and were a step slow. Tonight, the Raps bigs were unable to keep him from getting good positioning in the paint. So it was either a free dunk or foul. Sure there were some misses but it went both ways.
And if the spin move where the wind knocked over Bargnani was one u were referring tothen watch the replay. He was barely tapped and it was an attempt to take a charge.

How come anytime anyone says something bad about the lakers (or even references or inadvertantly degrades the lakers in any way) their fans take it as a personal affront to their mothers?

Listen, just accept the fact that not EVERYONE thinks the Lakers are the greatest team of all-time/this year. Don't act like anyone who points out a deficiency in their team is crazy, if they were THAT good they wouldn't have lost the finals last year (nor in such convincing fashion), and they wouldn't have lost a game this year.

Now, back to the subject. If the Raptors defense was SO BAD how come every other center isn't going for 45?...

many thought... Shaq proves that he still has it...

plus Amundson is playing very nice, more than i expected... hopefully he wil keep it up till Amare gets back...

also it was without the main playmaker, Nash, so bigs should get even more credit...

plus have you seen that Grant Hill's dunk? it looks like age doesn't matter to him...

ok cool game...

I was saying in the off-season that Shaq can still be a good player when he's motivated (or pissed off), but even I didn't think he had a 40 point night in him.

Bosh says O’Neal cheated in his 45-point night
By BOB BAUM, AP Sports Writer
10 hours, 2 minutes ago

Buzz up!82 votes PrintPHOENIX (AP)—Toronto’s Chris Bosh had an explanation for how Shaquille O’Neal scored 45 points: He cheated.

“He was just camping down in the lane,” Bosh said Friday night, after O’Neal’s biggest scoring night in six years led Phoenix to a 133-113 victory over the Raptors. “I mean, if they’re not calling three seconds—I thought it was a rule, but I guess not.”

It was the 49th 40-point game of O’Neal’s career and his highest-scoring game since he got 48 for the Los Angeles Lakers against Boston on March 21, 2003.

“It was cool,” O’Neal said. “Guys were really looking for me. I’ve been saying all year if I can get those touches like that, I think I can do that every night.”

A week shy of his 37th birthday, Shaq made 20 of 25 shots and grabbed 11 rebounds.

“He’s just so strong and pushes guys right under the basket and gets inside,” Toronto coach Jay Triano said. “We have no match for him.”

O’Neal still insists no one can guard him one on one.

“I’m the only player,” he said, “who looks at each and every center and says to myself, ‘That’s barbecued chicken down there.”’

Louis Amundson scored a career-high 20 as the Suns outscored the Raptors in the paint 90-36. Matt Barnes added 18 points. Grant Hill had 14 points and 12 assists, just two shy of his career high set 11 years ago for the Suns, who were without Steve Nash for the second straight game with a sprained right ankle.

Former Suns star Shawn Marion led Toronto with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Andrea Bargnani added 21 points and Bosh 19.

O’Neal, who also had 11 rebounds, sealed the victory by scoring all the Suns’ points in a 10-2 run that gave Phoenix a 120-102 lead with 5 minutes to play. He left the game to a thunderous ovation with just under 2 minutes remaining.

There were 10 lead changes in the third quarter, with the Suns up 96-90 entering the fourth.

“We were right there, man. I don’t know what happened,” said Marion, who drew a big cheer when he was introduced before the game. “We just hit the tank or something, and everything just sort of went the other way. It’s frustrating because I think the fight in us just went out the window.”

The Suns are 5-2 since Alvin Gentry took over as coach. The victories have come over the Los Angeles Clippers (twice), Oklahoma City, Charlotte and Toronto. The losses came in blowouts against Boston and the Lakers.

“I’m not really impressed winning against teams we’re supposed to beat,” O’Neal said. “We’ve got to step up against the upper-echelon teams.”
