I'd only expect him to get 10-12 mins tonight.

Not shocking. I wonder what kind of shape he's actually in since he hasn't played in an actual game since January 11th of last year.

i still dont understand how theres been no tampering allegations considering everyone knows he was a soon-to-be celtic while hes been under contract with the knicks.

Dude... I see Marbury play 30 minutes...

Backup Rondo... 10 minutes
Backup Ray Ray..... 10 minutes
Ray Ray Backup Pierce, and Marbury Backup Allen... 10 minutes...

And Marbury/House could be very interesting duo....

yeah, i'm lookin forward to seeing that marbury/house duo. IF marbury plays well, that could be a very high scoring tandem off the bench.

The Knicks wanted him talking to other teams. If he had an offer on the table, the money his new team would give him would off-set the same amount of money the Knicks would pay him in case of a buyout.

Wow I can't believe the Celtics are that determined to get him on the court tonight! :speechless:

The knicks gave him permission to talk to other teams back in the beginning of january

I hope they do allright so when the lakers win the championship there won't be any shenanigans about who had the better team. Boston got everyone they wanted on their wishlist before the end of the deadline, good for them.

I doubt he plays that much. He hasn't played in an actual game in over a year. Hasn't really been a part of a team for a couple months, and while he could still be in fine shape, he's still not in game shape. Plus its a completely new system for them, and they are playing a team that could play them well, as the Pacers did beat them already once this year. I highly doubt he plays 30 minutes.

He doesnt even know the plays..Doesnt know what to run. Im sure hell have convo with the coaching staff but still. He'll get minutes but no where near 30. I just hope to see some promising flashes tonight giving its his first game in a year or so

Is pierce playing tonight? He hurt his thumb a couple days ago and if he's out tonight then Marbury should see more playing time than if Pierce did play...

Havent seen anything saying he isnt playing. id have to assume he'll tape it up an go. Cavs lost last night and very well could lose again tonight in S.A. We need home court and Paul knows these games are important.

I'm wondering what is he going to do about that #3 tattoo on the side of his head? That number has alrady been retired by the Celtics (DJ).

Yeah, but he dislocated that thumb twice last game. It might be a good idea to take a game off against the Pacers, who the Celtics should be able to beat pretty easily without him.

Id like to think that myself man, i really would. But the Pacers beat us earlier in the year when we were perfectly healthy. They beat a perfectly fine L.A team aswell. Classic case of record doesnt really explain much. Without Pierce were at even greater risk to let this slip away. We'll see/

Celtics website has him listed as Number 8. He took Toines old number. Aslong as he dont hoist 3's like Walker im fine with it.

lol, toine was the man though. After he would hit one he would give a monster wiggle down the court.:laugh2:

Marbury could just add a mirrored image of his "3" logo tattoo to make it look like an "8"... :p

speaking from a fans perspective, its good to see him back on the court, especially with the man he started his career with-KG
