He was a solid contribute on the defensive end of the floor and I think this might affect them at least a little bit.

This helps them imo. 16 mil and his 3.0 and 6.6 rpg will no longer demand any minutes.

I saw it happen. he still PLAYED on it even after it happened and when he found out it was broke it was like...uhh...what?! If you saw the play he broke it on it was clearly a freak accident. Yao stepped on his foot. You figure Yao would have a greater chance at rolling his own ankle than breaking the other guys leg. Turns out...that's what happened.

If they can get the #1 seed they will be ok in the 1st round unless they play Chicago or Detroit.

Sucks for "big ben" and the Cavs, it will hurt them but it won't kill them

I don't think it hurts it that much. I mean sure they'll miss him. While his production was not what it was a few years ago, he still brought good reliable defense, and decent rebounding, and that is always missed. Now, they have a guy in Varejao who can fill his shoes to a point, but after varejao you have JJ Hickson, who is a rookie and pretty unproven. Could he play well, sure. But When we're talking about playoff time, not having Big Ben is when it will hurt more.

I don't know that we'll see a major difference in their overal regular season record. But when every possesion counts, and is that much more crucial in the playoffs, in the big moments, only having Varejao and Hickson as your options at the 4, or going small with LeBron at the 4 really hurts.

I think we'll see the Cavs make a move for someone like Horry, or if he becomes available, Joe Smith.

On another side to this story, Ben Wallace broke his leg in the 2nd quarter, and then came out and played in the 3rd quarter. If that's not the definition of tough, I don't know what is.

CLE is already in need of another big man now Big Ben goes down. They will be missing him forsure. I don't see them doing that well without him or atleast bringin in someone else.

Definitely hurts us..He brings toughness to the floor more then anything. Obviously he isn't our leading contributor, but he has a good basketball attitude that sheds off on the team.

I think we are screwed unless we get Joe Smith or Horry. We need an experienced big man more then ever now.

It's impossible to get Joe Smith. There isn't enough time for the 48 hour waiver process before March 1st. They just showed a stat on Sportscenter that said the Cavs winning % is 73% with Ben Wallace in the lineup and 50% with him out of the lineup so, this injury hurts more than anyone realizes.

Man, he was still walking around... That's a tough boy.

Sucks to see him go down for so long. While I'm not a Cleveland fan and don't know how much did he actually contribute, I know Ben's past, so I guess he was a good guy to have around.

It was a freak play, to say the least. He wasn't favoring the leg or anything. He showed no sign of pain whatsoever.

I think we all know who the toughest guy in the Nba is now. Ben Wallace.
