Sorry if there has been a thread about this already...

But boy oh boy, maybe Candice Parker has been distracting him ha. Just kidding.

He's fallen. It's ridiculous how much a player can change. The hype surrounding him, a good college career, I guess he was picked too high in the draft and maybe that 'disappointment' factor got to him.

Min PPG RPG AST TO A/T STL BS PF FG FT 3P PPS
[33.3 18.8 10.7 1.1 2.5 .44 1.7 3.8 3.2 .578 .744 .333 1.65]

-> Per ESPN [http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=11146]

It's kind of sad, when you see Collegiate players with that much skill and potential to suddenly fall when they are exposed by stronger, faster players at their position.

Even in the NBA if you adjust him to starter minutes:

He averages around 10.7 ... if you multiply that by 3...

You get

11.1 PPG 7.8 RPG 3.6 PF 0.9 BS 0.9 AST 2.7 TO 1.2 ST -> All this in about 32 minutes.

The problem here is he couldn't get into the rotation of a struggling atlanta or kings team.

I guess he's just one of those that you would label a bust... It's sad though, I followed him through college and I thought he was going to be a great player.

Duke recruits unreal college players, but the majority of them don't make it in the NBA. Grant Hill, Elton Brand, a few others, but they just don't translate.

Hill was on the verge of becoming a hall of famer (pre injury) Brand had a 20 and 10 season to START his career. They have been plagued with injuries.

Sheldon hasn't.

sheldan is just undersized with 0 offensive game. He never knows where to go on either side of the court and yeah, he's just horrible and i'm glad he's no longer with the kings.

It seems like Duke's success, along with the success of their players, can be attributed to the system, rather than the individual skills. If I were an elite high school player with my choice to play anywhere, I wouldn't even consider playing at Duke. Anyone else agree?
