Houston's really under-rated!

First people say we won't make the playoffs since we traded Alston and Mcgrady has season ending surgery.. then what happens, we start playing the best ball we had all season.. since then we beat Dallas, man-handled the bobcats, and beat portland to move into 4th in the west

The Cavs have a tuff game on there hands! Rocket's by 3

Houston is sooo underrated. Big Z and Yao equals each other's performances? are we talking about the same Yao that dominates both Shaq and Dwight Howard :pity: Cavs blowing out the Rockets by 20? :pity: are we talking about the same Rockets that's one of the few teams that beat the Celtics this year? without McGrady?!?!

but yeea..it's going to be a tough game that can go either way. I see Artest playing tough defense on Lebron, I see Battier playing defense on Williams (I know they play different positions but Battier has been known to guard point guards), and I see Yao bouncing back from the win against Portland. I say Rockets by 5 in a close game.

AWC713
02-26-2009, 11:42 PM
They're finally coming together, as T-mac's injury has been a blessing in disguise.

They're getting Yao the ball more (13 for 15 from the field), and their playing up tempo with a lot of energy.

Plus, they're defense (headed by Battier and Artest) is as solid as any team in the NBA right now.

First round and out? Second round it and out?

What are your playoff thoughts for this team?

a lot of you are not giving Battier the credit he deserves. BOTH artest and battier played good defense on Lebron. Granted Artest was the designated man on man defender against Lebron but Battier was the designated help defender. Whenever Lebron manages to get by Artest, Battier is there ready to jump in help out. I remember one play specifically in the first half where Lebron spins pass Artest only to find Battier in the lane with his feet set ready to take a charge and take a charge he did.

don't forget Yao too. Yao help out A LOT against Lebron. On rare occasions where Lebron manages to get pass Artest and Battier, there's a 300 pounds 7 footers standing right under the rim ready to challenge his shot. props to Yao.

We clobbered Boston and forgot about it a day later. it was back to business.

And please...the Rockets are a good team but will not even make it to the WCF. When have they even made it out of the first round recently? enitialdee put it better than me....we, the rockets fan, feel like we're not getting the respect we deserve and we feel like a lot of people have counted usout. in fact...there's people out there who goes as far as saying that we're "packing it in" just because Tmac is injured (even though we play a lot better without him) and because we traded rafer alston (even though record is better with brooks as a starter) so we feel like we have something to prove. we feel like we need to show people that we're still a playoff team and we're not "packing it in" and that we're still aiming to win the championship. basically...we want people to take us seriously again.
