At this point, Amar'e being injured, do you think the Suns would have been better with J-Rich (case right now), or do you think they should've kept Diaw and Barbosa?

J-Rich Pros:

- someone who can handle the scoring load in Stoudemire's absence
- spaces the floor for 3 point threat to let Shaq dominate the paint
- allows Barbosa to flourish in his natural position (SG)

Diaw/Bell Pros:

- Diaw can fill in the PF spot better than Hill, and he's proven that he can play the 4 and 5 position in a run-and-gun offense
- Hill doesn't have to play undersized in the PF position
- Depth for the 2 and 3 spots (Richardson-Hill/Barnes for the 3 and Bell-Richardson-Barnes for the 2)
- Provides defense against opposing 2's (Barbosa's terribly undersized for the 2 spot and can't play good D against guys like Kobe)

With Amare's injury, Diaw. Could really use him right about now.

Naturally Diaw would have been a better option since he was versatile enough to fill in effectively for Stat before while he was rehabbing from his microfracture surgery. But there was no way of knowing that Amare was going to have this eye injury.

Hindsight is 50-50.

They wouldn't have Richardson if they still had Bell^^^^.

i think they was better with Diaw/Bell IMO

I think they are better with Richardson. He has been scoring around 20-25 a game with Amare out. Suns Diaw would be nice to have with Amare out but their lineup is still

PG Nash
SG Barbosa
SF Richardson
PF Hill
C Shaq

The Suns have had a better record with Jason Richardson. Bell was a better defender, but Richardson can work with the running offense and the half court strategy.

AT THIS POINT... the suns would be better off with Raja and Boris. Especially with Amare' out.. we need a big like Boris Bad. Plus bell flourishes in the up tempo stlye drainin 3's. how can anyone say we're better with J-rich? If we had Diaw he could play the 4 because right now he have no true 4 man.

i think the bobcats got the better end of the deal. diaw has been very good for them.

Bell would've at least decreased the chance for every perimeter player to have a career high against the pathetic Suns defense...the defense that was supposed to improve this year.

This team is a mess. The J-Rich trade was awful...two useful players traded for a one dimensional scorer. Waugh.

What's next...? "Chris Quinn scores career high 43...against (who else) PHOENIX!"

I dunno about the Suns, but as a Bobcats fan, I am so glad we have Diaw and Bell.

diaw and bell. Diaw is a very versitile player

Once they hit the playoffs the Suns had better find some defense, quickly.

Btw, it's interesting that: two role players > one all star scorer. There's a lesson here, people.

Diaw and Bell. A couple of you guys are not considering the fact that Bell and Diaw would score more with Amar'e out. You're saying Richardson gives the Suns 20-25 points a night, but Bell and Diaw, collectively, would put up more than that. They can both score if they have to. Bell is a good shooter and Diaw can score anywhere inside the arc. Not to mention, they're pretty solid defensively.

Diaw and Bell.

I don't get Steve Kerr. He wanted to Suns to be more defense oriented.

He lets D'antoni walk..
He signs Porter
He trades Marion for Shaq
He trades their best defensive player for an offensive player..
He fires Porter..
He hires Dantoni's assistant.

He just created a mess in Phoenix. They shouldn't have let BC go.
