Pitt lost to Providence 73-81. Hopefully the turmoil at the top continues

Providence is good this year and will make the NCAA tourney. But man the #1s' keep falling like dominos.

We really, really needed another quality win on top of the win vs Syracuse a few weeks ago. Assuming we beat Rutgers and pick up a W in the conference tournament, 10-11 Big East wins ought to seal it after tonight.

Not a huge surprise...Ton of seniors on Providence...They remind me of a 11 or 12 seed in the NCAA's that will knock off a 5 or 6 seed...

providence is good... agree to disagreeWinning record in the Big East and just knocked off the #1 team in the nation... yeah, they suck. Do you even watch any games in which Duke isn't playing?

Sadly we really don't play like a group of seniors. We've had double digit leads on #14 Marquette, #9 GTown and #7 Louisville all of which went out the window because of 7-8 minute periods where we literally didn't score. They're capable of playing some great basketball, but hopefully we can play a bit more consistent to close out the year.

Doing it against GTown is bad, because that's a weak team this year (well, compared to the rest of the conference).

But it's tough to hold leads against great teams (Marquette, who is phenomenal this season) and great coaches (not the only team to blow leads against Rick Pitino)...

I like that Providence team this year...

That being said, Marquette is the team to beat in that conference...

Huge win for Providence.
