If you had to create a list of the top injury prone guys in the league, how would it look? Like top 10 or 15 guys who always seem to get injured?

Emeka Okafor

Emeka Okafor has played in every game this year (56 games so far), and played in all 82 games last year. His 2nd year he had a lot of injury problems, but besides that he's been fine. I wouldn't put him on that list next to Yao and Gilbert. Plus you don't have T-Mac on there...

How? Both injuries were freak accidents

Gerald Wallace is called injury prone and pretty much every single injury he has had has been a freak accident.

1. Getting elbowed in the face...concussion.
2. Getting elbowed in the face again...concussion
3. 2 more concussions, not sure how those happened.
3. Diving into the stands...broken wrist
4. Diving for a loose ball...seperated shoulder
5. Going up for a dunk, getting hit in the air and landing straight on his back...stained neck, etc.
6. Getting elbowed in the ribs, broken rib and collapsed lung.

Exactly, if that would happened to you or anyone of us, we would get the same result, but if Wallace or Bynum would get those injuries on their own, then you can considered him injury prone.

He is up there, but other guys like JO and Baron Davis seem to always be injured as well.

T-Mac, Jermain O'Neal, and Baron Davis. Throw in Andrew Bynum and Carlos Boozer as well.

To me, a guy should be considered injury prone if he has nagging injuries throughout his career that that continually cause him to miss games after the initial recovery period from the injury. Also, any guy that continually misses games due to what I like to call stress injuries (injuries that did not happen from a particular incident, but from wear-and-tear). A guy like T-Mac falls under this category. Now if Bynum's knees continue to give him problems and he misses games after he is supposed to have recovered then I would consider him to be injury-prone. I wouldn't consider Wallace injury-prone as much as he is just unlucky or maybe he just plays too recklessly...

You guys forgot Chris Mihm.

Mihm's subsequent injury after ankle surgery was a case of medical malpractice, as is Grant Hill's unfortunate career.

McGrady at least had a career and was a top 5 player in the NBA for years...now he is just pretty much done. But Oden is the king hands down. Dude was out for the season before training camp..you cant top that. Then dude got hurt twice in his first week in the NBA..no one can top that no one.

games played 46
games missed 92 and counting

you just cant beat that.

injury prone is injury prone IMO..doesnt matter if its a "freak accident" or not. Obviously bynums knees cant hold up to those types of incidents. Where as many other players have been in the same situation this year and not gotten hurt. Wether it be cause your a hustle player (wallace) , i mean..when you dive into stands for balls..you have a higher risk of injury..therefor..your injury prone.

my list:

Tony Allen
Ming
t mac
J. Oneal
B davis
Arenas
oden
Kenyon Martin
Tj ford (not this year..but recent years i beleive)
Boozer

T-Mac, Jermaine O'Neal, Yao Ming.

I would have listed Camby a few years ago.

Gilbert Arenas is getting close to joining the list.

Jay Williams, his career was basically epic fail.

His decision to ride a motorcycle foolishly was what doomed him. Larger athletes, including Kellen Winslow & Ben Roethlisberger were extremely lucky that their careers were not ended by their motorcycle accidents.

Monta Ellis doesn't even look like a shell of his former self. He must be really kicking himself after signing that huge contract.
