Detroit would have probably taken Bosh at the time. They didn't have Rasheed yet so they would have looked for post scoring.

why does everyone think wade would have been a bust in detroit?... I really don't think it matters where he went he would have been successful just because hes that good

No way Hinrich at 5. West is already a two time all-star. Mo williams is a better PG too. Josh Howard is better than Hinrich at 5.

We wouldn't have had Stuckey though as we got him from Orlando in that Darko deal.

Darko would be a late first or early second round draftpick and still suck...

I thank God everyday the Heat got the 5th pick and Toronto selected Chris Bosh 4th (whom the Heat wanted to pick).

In 2001, Wizards picked Kwame Brown. If they chose Tyson Chandler or Pau Gasol instead, then maybe Gilbert Arenas would be forced to retire because he would have actually been choked out. Kwame's hands are too small to wrap around Arena's neck.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

1.Cleveland - Lebron James , 5 Time All Star - Best Player in the Draft

2.Detroit - Chris Bosh , 4 Time All Star - Detroit wanted a big man and CB is the best big man in this draft and 3rd best player in the Draft.

3.Denver - Dwayne Wade , 5 Time All Star - Second best player in the draft.

4.Toronto - Carmelo Anthony, 2 Time All Star - We had Vince at the time but having a chance to put Vince with Carmelo would have been amaizing at the time and it would have made us a playoff team right away.

5.Miami - David West, 2 Time All Star - I think Miami wanted to pick Bosh back in 03 so if Wade and Bosh are gone they would probably pick West a 2 time All Star.

Larry Brown really ****ed Darko's career.

Larry Brown wants players to "play the right way." Most young players don't do that. Wade was older coming into the draft and would have been fine playing with Larry Brown, he would have been coming off the bench, but that's not terrible when you're behind Chauncey and Rip. Wade had by far the most mature game of any player taken in the top 5 and that's why he had the most playing tim on any of the rookies playing in the Olympics.

Pistons didn't draft Darko because he was tall, they drafted him because they thought he was going to be the best player available. Now way they suffer such a talent drop just so they can fill a need.

Actually he would, Detroit won this championship in 05.

I don't think Darko ever got a chance to succeed, I think he could have been a decent starter if he ended up somewhere else, he had a really unique skill set but Larry Brown never gave him a chance to play.

I think Detroit, with the addition of foresight would take bosh. Not that Melo or Wade would be bad picks, but think about it. With Rip, Prince and CHauncey there, you have a logjam there, and you'd have a similar problem they have now with AI. Not the same problem, but similar in how you get all 4 of those guys the minutes they need. So you take Bosh, who not only is a fantastic player, but fits into a position of need for them. Bosh int he starting lineup with sheed, chauncey rip in prince is better than a lineup with wade (who don't kid yourself, would come off the bench behind rip to start) coming off the bench.

Wdae would of still been a baller even if he fail to the Lakers and played behind Kobe, he is just good, Miami didn't make him good. Could you imagine Wade at point and Kobe at the 2.
