What's up guys. So the Knicks just beat the Pacers in a thriller down the stretch.

But what's really noticeable is that 5'8 Nate dropped 41 points off the bench.

Which is the highest ever by a knick.

Thought it would be interesting to see if anyone else felt that Nate deserves to be 6th man of the year.

:D

starting a 5'7 SG is an automatic mismatch in the other teams favor, he is tailor made to be a 6th man. I love the dude, but JET will get 6MOY

Nate should try to shoot for the all-star game next year not the slam dunk contest (please not the slam dunk contest)

Dang he also has had a couple of 30 point games this year as well. He's got to be the #1 candidate for 6th man since Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko have been out.

He has more than couple this year. :)

Couple = 2. :D

Guys he shouldn't be starting, he may be a better player then Duhon, but as a D'antoni PG Duhon fits better. Duhon is a passer which is what Mike likes, Nate is a scorer which D'antoni also likes but not out of his PG, he wants his PG setting other people up. Duhon's been great this year.

I dont know if you know, but when Nate wants to pass, he can pass.

Duhon was out against the Clippers last week, Nate started and he dropped 33 points and dished out 15 assists.

He can average 8-10 assist a game if he wanted too.

But he just likes to score more. :D

Nate is a perfect 6th man. I don't want him to start and we don't need him to because he's so effective in the role he's in now.

I'd also like to point out that he can do more than just score. He also had 8 rebounds tonight, 8 assists in the previous game and has a more well-rounded game this year.

16.6 ppg, 4.0 apg, 4.2 rpg, 1.5 spg

1 day outdated stats!

Now averaging 17.2 ppg 4.2 apg in addition to 1.5 spg. (4.2 rpg too lol)

He needs to remain on the bench to provide a spark for the Knicks. He still gets in his minutes and can drop 30 on any given night, if he started the Knicks bench would be decimated.

Nate is amazing. I would love to have him in a Suns uni, but we have Barbosa, so not really a use for him for us.

Grangerless Pacers.

Eh he's dropped 33 on the Lakers and 32 on the Spurs, it's not really an issue who he plays, there's hasn't been a player yet who can shut him down. The only one who can is himself.

He also played 36 minutes off the bench.

If Nate starts then Duhon is pretty useless off the bench. As the team is built now, both make nice contributions to help the team win (that is WHEN they win).

You're all starting to overrate him just because he's stepped it up as of late in D'Antoni's system. If everyone played that 7 second offense, Nate's numbers wouldn't be so impressive.

We don't play the 7 second offense.

We don't run and gun at all. Just a simple fast paced offense with screens and pops.

D'antoni will implement the run and gun when we have all the right players for it.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is offically the stupidest comment of the year.

You odviously have not watched the knicks. We do not really run and gun. we def don't do 7 seconds or less.

Come back when you know what your talking about, Yea, we are overratting him:rolleyes: "41 pionts, my grandma could do that!". 41 pts is actually a pretty impressive thing to do. IF YOU ACTUALLY WATCHED THE KNICKS, THEN YOU WOULDN'T SAY N8 IS OVERRATED.
It pisses my off when ppl say stuff that they have to knowledge about.

Nate is really beginning to mature up in this league....he is understanding his role and has gotten better every year!! What I think is his good and bad quality is that he is too emotional and he needs to learn how to control it a little better, but this guy can create havoc on any given night, he by far one of my fav knick players! I have a feeling he gets resigned before David Lee in the offseason!

The most impressive thing about Nate-Rob is that he's nowhere near his listed 5'9''. He's like 5'6'' without shoes, 5'7'' tops. I had some classes with him at UW and he's tiny.

I like him. He was great in the slam dunk contest and now he is starting to be the man in NY. If the Knicks are smart, they will keep this guy. Plays with passion, enthusiasm and is exciting to watch. That "shake and bake" with Will Ferrell was hilarious.
