who is the most under appreciated player in the NBA?

i would say it's Kobe Bryant because for some reason people have something to hate him for instead of appreciating what he does on the court which is do things that no other player can think of!!!!

Tim Duncan. He might be a boring choir boy, but all he does is win. Doesn't get enough appreciation.

You can not like a player but still recognize how good he is.

Why are there two threads on the same topic?
Oops-nvm..that one's underrated. My mistake..

My answer is Duncan. I don't see how Kobe is the most unappreciated player-I think most people know how terrific he is, but it doesn't mean they have to like/love him.

Duncan easily.

Kobe gets enough credit. I don't know why Laker fans feel he doesn't. All ESPN talks about is how good him and LeBron are.

lol kobe

JKidd is under appreciated. This season his stats are so-so, but in his prime especially in NJ, he was incredible. I dont know how he doesnt have an MVP

Danny Granger. But he is starting to get some recognition now, thank goodness.

Tim Duncan gets credit because he is always an All-Star starter. Someone who should have been an All-Star the past couple of years: Deron Williams. All you hear about is how spectacular Chris Paul is and how he is the best PG in the NBA.

haha kobe isnt under appreciated...just alot of ppl love to hate him hence everyone but laker fans

it HAS TO BE TIM DUNCAN.

maybe cus hes so damn fundamental but he he never gets any credit. people RECOGNIZE once the playoffs come around but until that point he usually goes unnoticed.

Kobe is overrated if anything...I'd say Tim Duncan, or maybe Gerald Wallace. Wallace is a lot better than some of these 'all-stars' we have floating around the league.

Deron Williams is a great pick. He has been tearing **** up...and people still don't notice.LOL

It's funny every one's a homer you can't even make a thread now without a lakers fan bring up Kobe. It's gotta be Deron Williams,Billups for all-stars or maybe a guy like Charlie Villanova and Shane Battier for solid players

Kobe is the most hated superstar in the league. However, the most under appreciated player is definitely Duncan. In comparison, both Duncan and Kobe don't get the respect they deserve from fans. NBA fans won't understand both these guys' worth until their star starts to fade. Am I a homer? Yes, but I get to see Kobe 82 games a year, and the games without him are absolutely terrible.

I haven't heard of Joe Johnson for a while. Battier is probably the best role player in the league right now and no one notices. Bunch of other stars aren't getting recognition this season.

Deron Williams bar none

Some might say he's the best PG in the NBA right now. I'd say he's a close 2nd behind CP3.

That being said, he wasn't even in the top 11 vote getters in the guard category for the all star game this year and never made the all star team.

Bosh also gets a lack of love...it's not because he plays for Toronto because Vince Carter was huge there.

If Paul were in a bigger market with a little better team (not that it's a 'bad' supporting cast) he'd be in the convo for best PG ever day in day out.

JayW_1023

If Paul was a Knick he'd have as much media attention as LBJ and Kobe...he is equally spectacular...he is actually more fun to watch.

IMO.

Deron Williams and Gerald Wallace are pretty under appreciated

And even though he's won MVP twice, Steve Nash. He is that entire team and unbelievably talented, yet he didn't even make the All-Star game in his own city. Yes, the media appreciates him, but fans certainly don't.

to say Kobe is underappreciated is a joke. if anything he is overappreciated.

Marcus Camby is the most under appreciated player in the NBA. He epitomizes the sad fact that offense is more popular than defense. He's been the defensive player of the year, and yet has never been in the all-star game. That's no way to treat one of the few players who is capable of getting a triple double on points, rebounds and blocks.

Over appreciated? Is that even possible? He does amazing things that annoy the hell out of the opposition.

Kobe is under appreciated because of the R-word.
