Which coach would you want to coach your team?

For me, It gotta be Mike K. He is better than 50% the coaches in the NBA and he coaches 1 of the best teams in NCAA. The only coach I would put ahead of him are Sloan, Popavich, Jackson, Van Gundy, Brown and about 4-5 more coaches. He proved that he can coach new players that are just starting to play at this level to NBA vets.

Who would you take?

Why would you say coach K then name several coaches who are better? Any way if I'm rebuilding I want Pops, if I'm contending I want Phil. When Phil has a ton of talent he's the best coach, with less talent I'd take Pops because he's more of a strategist.

I would love to see Jerry Sloan coach the Pacers but at the same time think he should remain in Utah his entire career

The best coach in the league doesn't mean its the best for all teams.

Like some teams can't do the Triangle offence so Jackson wouldn't be good for em.

Or

Some teams have horrible defence so you can't have Popavich

Or

How some teams aren't Fundemental enough so Brown wouldn't be good for them

I think Mike K. can straighten out the Raps problems and can be as good as the best coaches in the NBA after getting use to the NBA.

And getting and offer of 40mil for 5 years + part ownership from the LA Lakers as your first NBA coaching job should say alot. He denied it but, it says alot.

Im a Rockets fan... and I miss Jeff Van Gundy.... He was the perfect coach for the Rockets, defence first, 80 points a game, it was the perfect system for Yao,and he wouldn't have let the whole T-mac situation go on for as long as it did.... i think he would have sat T-mac down and gave him the Marbury treatment....

I'd love for Pop to teach the Raptors some D. And he'll probably utilize each of our players strengths well.

I would have to say phil jackson, the man is swimming in rings.
If i had to choose a college coach I would pick Coach K or Bruce Pearl. I have to admit I love the orange jacket he pulls out for the big games and he won me over when he went shirtless in the student section for a tennessee women's game.

Mike D'Antoni.

Offense DOES work. Suns would have won the ship in 07 if Steve Nash didn't get knee'd in the balls, if Tony Parker didn't collide with him so that he bled and missed a lot of the game, and if he didn't get tackled into the sideline that ended up with Amare and Diaw being suspended hahahah.

Bill Fitch

Any of these coaches. There from the past so i dont know if they count. But if i can grab any form the past it would be one of them.

It's not xhump change, but there are only like 5 teams each year in women's college basketball that could win that year so it's kind of inflated.

I'd take Phi Jackson because the question was for my team and I'm a Laker fan. I'd take him if I was a fan of alot of other teams too though. He doesn't get enough credit for the rotations he puts together.

I'd have to say Jerry Sloan,I hate Utah but even with a weak line-up he get's the team rolling every year.If I seen Phil coach a team without the best player in the league for once then maybe him.

He hasn't done it as long as Phil, Pop, etc.....But the guy can flat out coach, and he probably would've had a ring with the Heat if Pat Riley didn't take over for him. I think he would do a great job of getting the inside out game to work with Elton Brand the way he does with Dwight Howard.

I guess it depends on the makeup of the team, but I think Greg Poppovich is the best coach in the NBA. Sloan and Phil are just fine as well. Coach K would be a very good NBA coach, we just don't know how good until he were to do it
