View Full Version : Shaq clears out his locker

-Juice-

"At the tail end of the post game show they reported that Shaq is refusing to talk to reporters because he "isn't supposed to be on this team anymore."

He cleaned out his locker except for his warm ups and a single stick of deodorant.

Apparently he is really upset he was almost traded and this is his protest."

Also in the thread, Robert Sarver went onto the radio and stated "if we hadn't done so well the last 2 games (against the Clippers) we would have made a trade that would have saved us $20 million."

Oh Shaq.

Shaquille O'Neal apparently didn't like being brought up in trade talks but wasn't commenting after Friday's shootaround, telling one reporter he would not talk again and another that he wasn't part of the team. Steve Kerr spoke to him and was confident he would be fine. O'Neal's locker was empty before game time (not a first), and he did not initially come onto the court with the team. But when he was introduced, his teammates sensed he needed a pick-me-up and mobbed him while rubbing his head. Then, he did his thing.

calm down people. He is mad at the media for spreading rumors and trying to start ****. Its probably just another one of his ways to get attention.

LOL this is pretty funny.

Somehow I'm glad Phoenix didn't take Ben and Sasha for Drama himself.

No disrespect to the guy... he just likes, uh, attention.

I can understand how a player might be upset to hear their name in trade rumors. its understandable. However, it seems that everything is fine and dandy now.

its a business. deal with it.
i can understand you being upset, but clearing your locker to protest?! thats very unprofessional.

if anything, i think he's mad that the suns didn't trade him to the cavs so he can go to a better team again to "lead them to promise-land".

If you'd have bothered looking just a few posts up, you'd have seen this link to azcentral which is most definitely a legitimate news agency:

yeah thats it. did u ever think of it the other way around. shaq cant win without kobe, and he cant win without d-wade. this argument is so stupid, u cant win a championship by urself theres 5 players on the court not 1.

It's not that serious, apparently after their intro, he was fine. But if you hear your name in trade talks, you shouldn't be surprised because the NBA is a business.

If he's mad about being brought up in trade rumors, I wonder how he would've felt if he was actually traded and then sent back to his team because of a failed physical a la Tyson Chandler.

I don't care what anyone says. I am not a Shaq fan at all but still, I think he is honestly one of the VERY best players ever in the game. He is such a difference maker its not even funny.People say Shaq was nothing without Kobe but in return Kobe was nothing without Shaq. It just shows now that Kobe never won another championship without him. Also same with the Heat. He made Wade better. Not that hes so talented but hes so big you have to double team him I would love to see Shaq on my favorite team. However he is on the downside of his career.
