Who do you think the Celtic's will pick up for there 15th roster spot?

I heard Joe Smith will be released from the Thunder so I think he would be a good pick up.

The C's have two spots open. Hopefully they will be filled with two of: Smith, Marbury or Moore.

A) Joe Smith (if he gets released from the Thunder)

B) Sam Cassell (if he gets released from the Kings)

C) Stephon Marbury (if he gets released from the Knicks)

D) D-Leaguers.

I'd guess Smith and Cassell. I honestly think it's possible that the Knicks don't let Marbury out until the day after the deadline to have players on your roster if you want them for your playoff roster.

I don't see why the Knicks would buy him out now....

Both the Knicks and Marbury are acting like 2 year olds.

I don't know why anyone thinks the C's will bring back Cassell as anything other than a coach.

One is going to joe smith (good pick-up). The other is marbury IF he gets bought out

Joe Smith is certainly something they are hoping for. If not I think they would go with Scott Pollard over Moore who sucks.

Obviously they have been tied to Steph and I think the Knicks will move him before the 2/24 hearing on his grievance. Obviously it makes sense to wait out the deadline and the last meeting with the C's. They no longer need his roster spot so he is going to have to give them a reason.

If Steph some how does not happen I think Jason Williams is on the radar for them as well.

Smith with a backup plan of Moore, and Marbury with a backup plan of Williams, perhaps?

PF's Mikki Moore or Joe Smith and PG's Jason Williams or Bobby Jackson.

Maybe Boston's open roster spot is why Jason Williams wants back into the league.

id like them to get smith and bobby jackson, both potentially may be bought out... and would solve our need for another big and pg as well as scoring off the bench... theres also the possibility that drew gooden may be bought out...

I heard the Celtics are trying to talk Alonzo Mourning out of retirement

he'll only get bought out now if he accepts 3 million less then his 20 million contract otherwise there is no incentive to release him and therefore force him to not be eligible for the playoffs

im sure the celtics would like to get their paws on anything they possibly can, still wont help them win though lol...but this is a problem with the league, if a player is bought out/waived by a team, they shouldnt be able to join another team for a certain amount of time (like 60 days)
