i love how everyone has the rockets either 7, 8th or last. thats just ridiculous. they have an insanely easy schedule since they had the hardest schedule to start the season, brooks is finally started and they finally have stability in the lineup so they can build chemistry

SC1211
02-19-2009, 11:38 PM
I can't believe everyone is counting the Rockets out of the playoffs. Do you people not realize that we've gotten drastically better over the last two days? McGrady's season-ending injury is a dream come true, we play so much better without him, and Alston, while providing some good leadership and poise, was simply not a skilled point guard; the Rockets improve with Brooks at the helm. Check the records this season with both as starters. If the Rockets miss the playoffs, one of you all can make a degrading signature that I will wear throughout the post-season. The Rockets will be a top 6 seed.

I think the rocket's are in 5th place right now.. and this a team who starting line up switched about every 2-3 days..

People are wondering how we gone be in the playoffs when we lost Mcgrady, and traded away Rafer?

Answer: We're a better team withthought Mcrady, we still have Artest and Yao Ming, Aaron Brooks is better than Rafer, Lowry is about equal 2 rafer, except he plays better D, rebound better, and actually have the ability 2 get 2 the rim

Don't get it twisted houston's a top 6 seed.. if not higher!

luckynumber_752
02-20-2009, 03:44 AM
Lol. You Rockets fans r so funny. I agree that u guys will probably make the playoffs, but it's still not a garauntee. The fact that so many of u guys think that the Rockets r going to b a 6th seed or higher is ****ing rediculous. They're sitting in the 6th seed right now and Mcgrady is probably out for the season, if not, at least a month. I know Mcgrady isn't near the player that he used to b, but if u guys think that your team is better without him, you're setting yourselves up for a huge dissapointment. IMO, the 4 teams in the West that r in the most trouble r the Suns, Jazz, Mavericks, and Rockets. I would've thought the Suns would definetly b the odd team out, but they're starting to play like they used to. It will be interesting if they can keep up the up tempo play that they showed against the Clips. Nobody in the West is safe besides the Lakers. I'm a Blazer fan and I know that there's no garauntee that we make the playoffs. I do think the Rockets will make it, like I think the Blazers will, but if the Rockets get home court advantage, it will b a miracle.

true that

remember, we're talking about Alston here. He's a shot happy, not-so-great passer, streaky player. He overachieved in Houston cuz he was given free reign most of the time AND that TMac was injured so many times.

i think Alston makes this team worse. Sorry, Magic 3rd overall when it is said and done, maybe even forth.

top 4 seeds (homecourt) : 3 division winners WITH the team with the 4th best record in order of their records.
