man imagine his game and career for that matter if he wasnt always injured. you think this will lead to a yao trade at all? or maybe just t-mac when he gets healthy again

Well this officially closes the book on Tmac's career, its sad really, the year he finally had the talent around him he cant contribute.

Wasn't really news to me, the guy is always injured. It was on ESPN and they said "Breaking News from the NBA" I thought a nice trade happened...nope just official announcement of something most knew was likely to happen anyway. Bummer

Approaching? I'd say he's pretty much already arrived... unless he manages to land himself on an established contender next season or something.

I think the Rockets can still definitely make the playoffs with the team they have. Yao is one of the best players in the NBA, Battier is a great defender, Artest plays very well when Tracy doesnt play, Scola is one of the most consistent players in the league, Wafer is a deadly shooter, Landry and Brooks are great off the bench, Barry and Deke can both bring a great veteran presence and Hayes brings great D off the bench, and Luther (once he comes back) can shoot very well and can run some point.

Will the Rockets bring up either Dorsey or Leunen or will they sign someone (Possibilities: Sam Cassell if he is waived, Steve Francis, Shaun Livingston, Bonzi Wells, Kirk Snyder, Mike Harris, Salim Stoudamire, Antione Walker, Robert Horry)

Anyone believe that T-mac made it seem he is out for the year because he would traded?

I think he might miss a good 10-20 games but then come back early. He did this so that he wouldn't get traded IMO.

He is getting microfracture surgery...You can't make it "seem" like you are out for the year. You are out with the year with that surgery no matter what. :eyebrow:

Yeah....Tmac has been MORE injured during his career but mostly "nagging" injuries. He isn't out the door (from his prime years) but he is currently stepping out of the door. This is the worst part, since you get injured now and you'll probably never recover.

As for Hill...yes, he got injured during his prime.

I love this kind of story to an NBA season. Artest is now speculated to get dumped 4 his contract. Artest/Yao/McGrady/Battier/Scola/Alston= Subpar
Artest came 2 conquer a championship with the injury ridden Houston Rockets who cannot win in the playoffs even w/ Rick Adelman who gets there and then blows it like a chump...Gimme a break

Seriously, he made a thread about it. The only conceivable way it could be true is if he doesnt get the surgery and "magically" feels better, but if he does you cant fake that. Why would ANY player want their legacy to end this way?

Way to pour salt in the wounds, man - I'm no Rockets fan (or T-Mac fan, for that matter), but cheering a season ending injury is some pretty weak sauce.

I highly doubt this conspiracy theory of JB's. Like you said, no way McGrady would do something like that.

Well you obvoisuly are not a Kings Fan and you cannot relate. Jus imagine Artest on the Kings calling out players fighting Corliss Williamson in the Houston Rockets lockerroom last year. Ane T-Mac getting his *** beat by Bobby Jackson back in the day w/ the Magic. He got dipped by a PG -that proved he could not win. What I'm supposed to sympathize for a guy who never proved himself a leader -Never-I don't think he has US Gold medal

Adelman is the only 1 I feel for in this situation. he came thinking he could win a championship with a great team -think again your best chance was 2001 w/ the Kings

Why would he throw microfracture out there to fake it. He is costing himself money if it is fake because GMs around the NBA will think he needs microfracture at some point.
