If dwight would have rolled the 12 ft goal out for the last dunk he would have won. Nate deserved to win based on the last 2 dunks. Rudy had great dunks but obviously there was an agenda to put big vs. small in the finals.

The whole thing was crap. Who cares who won?

I'd rather just have them bring in street dunkers at this point. The dunk contest isn't even a dunk contest anymore. It's a broadway show. :eyebrow:

rudy shuda advanced over nate...but in the end nate deserved it over howard....but as said lebron news was the most exciting...they nba needs a great field next years and no more repeats!!! unless there names are vince, iguodala, kobe or amare.

Nate's dunk over Dwight was pretty good.

Besides that, pretty "meh"

The most exciting part of the contest was when LeBron declared for next years dunk contest.

howard wouldve won if he had changed up the line up for his dunks. (ie the 12ft hoop in the finals instead of the "free throw line"dunk

rudy prob had one of the most difficult dunks of the night... baised *** anouncers... like ol dude said b4 dwight should of waited till the end for the 12 ft.. or use it again with a windmill or something for the final dunk

jetsfan28

If Howard took off from 2 feet further out, which he easily could've done, he would've won

BTW, fan voting for the winner is stupid

Yes, but it took over 2 minutes to do. At that point it loses it's mystique. If he did it in a reasonable amount of time it would've been at least a 45.

BTW, IMO, not getting one of his teammates involved was pretty low.

I didn't like this years judges, and wasn't impressed with the contest. But always nice to see Nate throw down and win.

Yeah this Dunk Contest was pretty boring, I was impressed with Fernandez. Kind of jacked up when he took off his jersey no one realized who the person was. I thought it was kind of disrespectful, if Kenny Smith and others don't know who he is just stfu and don't say anything.

agreed Rudy's first dunk was the best of them all I thought, most difficult. Anwyway the dunk contest was awful, I was ready for the league to get rid of it all toegther untill Lebron said he would be in it next year.. I found it really boring and man nate robinson was boring once again. Just because your 5'9 and can dunk, should not meant a win. What a terrible dunk contest, one of the worst ever!

Nate robinson won the contest two years ago after attempting his dunk 10 or 15 times.. No excuse for taking points off, it was plain awful!

It should have been Nate and Rudy in the final round. The judges ****** the contest up, not the players. Dwight's dunks really did suck though. He throws the ball over the backboard and dunks it and that's a 50? That would have made Rudy's 2nd dunk a 60.

The judging was pathetic. The always pick horrible judges.

Rudy's dunk was so sick. I was so mad at the score they gave him.

Worst all star saturday night in years....the three point contest was trash, HORSE was disappointing, shooting stars was lame as usual, who cares about the skills contest and the slam dunk contest was just weak....judges were especially terrible too. Rudy Fernandez was better than Dwight Howard on the first two dunks, but Rudy got 84 and Howard got 100.

Should have been Nate and Rudy in the finals, although Dwight killed it on the dunk where he threw it off the side of the backboard...Put VC, Kobe, Lebron, and either Nate or Jason Richardson, and that would be exciting...I like LeBron doing this, but it's still a year away, and I bet next year, he doesn't end up doing it...

*Superman*
02-15-2009, 02:38 AM
Dwight let Nate win. HE let him dunk on him:pity::

His dunks were pretty weak besides the one off the side of the backboard

EDIT: Thats just the type of guy Dwight is, i don't think he wanted to go for a 3 peat.
