View Full Version : Steve Kerr, The Coach?

There are rumors circulating that the Suns might soon fire coach Terry Porter and replace him with GM Steve Kerr. Those reports have been vehemently denied by Kerr.
Porter's stint in Phoenix has been decidedly underwhelming, as he's failed to significantly improve the team's defense. As Suns beat writer Paul Coro points out, tellingly, "To this day, no Suns player has spoken on behalf of Porter." One problem for Phoenix is the three-year, $7 million contract Porter signed last summer.

Phoenix went from one of the most promising teams, to one of the most dysfuntional in that matter of 2 years.

No, that's a feat that can be achieved by none.

All we need now is to find out Steve Kerr has been sexually harassing another employee. Wouldn't that be a story.

Phoenix has two major problems:

1.) They sold/traded WAY too many crucial draft picks over the past few years for various reasons. I think players drafted with their picks over the past few seasons include Luol Deng, Rudy Fernandez, Rajon Rondo, etc. If they had just two of the guys they have lost out on they would be much deeper.

2.) They have too many egos on their roster. None seem willing to accommodate the others, aside from Nash. And he can't satisfy all of the others by himself.

why would steve kerr go in to Phoenix and break up a team that wins 50-60 games a year and is always a contender? Sure they failed to make the finals but they were always there, I dont understand what he was trying to accomplish there with an aging Shaq???
