When watching a game and there is a clear mistake by a ref that cost your team, what makes you angrier?

a. A foul that was called that clearly shouldnt of been

b. A foul that wasnt called that clearly should of been

choice A because i don't like when games are decided on a last second ticky-tack foul.

Scenario B easily for me

Foul A.

B can kind of balance out throughout a game if the ref is just allowing some physical play. Phantom fouls are the worst.

Scenario B cuz thats usually the one at the end of an important game

foul a

A for sure. pisses me off so much when someone goes to the line for yelling ;)

If its in my teams favor I like the call (A or B). If it is in the other teams favor I hate the call (A or B)

A. A foul that was called that clearly shouldn't have been called.

Sometimes the refs need to make a call for a particular reason or because they haven't called anything in a long time, they may make a BS call or they are just seeing things differently from everyone else. Bias can happen with call A as well.

I am more passive with B because no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. Not all refs will catch everything, the best refs in NBA history haven't caught EVERY single call. It is OK to miss a call once in a while because it is expected, but when a ref continues to miss calls then there you know that there's a problem.

Haha, I hate that.

Both are bad; however, there should be a third scenario. And, that's the predetermined calls/miscalls. There are a lot of those in the league. It happens mostly when a ref makes a bad call and feels apologetic, so he/she calls an unwarranted call on the other side to undue the initial call.

Choice A

choice A because i hate last second whistles.
you have to be hacked to deserve a foul call in the last seconds of the game.
always has been, always should be.

that is why most buzzer beaters are jumpers.

i agree player's should drive in and draw fouls especially in the last two minutes of the game. but in terms of LAST SECOND shot... sometimes it's smarter to take an open jumpshot than a challenged contested shot near the basket.

I hate favourtism in the league and a lot of these superstars do it get those calls. I remember the spurs-warrior game, last play of the game, ginobli flops and gets the call.
Dwayne Wade is no doubt a great player but sometimes all he has to do is go to the paint to get some free points.

A and B- its silly when people get to the line becuase of who they are(A) but then a role player gets hit the next time down and theres nothing(B)

02-13-2009, 12:38 AM
Scenario A, let the players decide the effing game! let the MEN play!

B. A foul that wasn't called and clearly should have been.
For the fact that. it can lead to a turnover because they were hacked at and led the otherteam to points scored on the turnover.

bad foul called

02-13-2009, 04:18 PM
when its not a foul. in this day, anything as small as a tap on the wrist can draw the foul, so if you have the skill to actually execute a great defensive play, and STILL get a foul called on you, then it has to be really frustrating

02-13-2009, 04:25 PM
I take mine back.
It's both. I get angry when a bad Foul decides the game or when a foul that should have been called. would have decided a game if they called it.

02-13-2009, 04:27 PM
Nothing worse than a phantom call to decide a game.

This sum's it up best.
