JO should be off the list and add Kaman or Bogut

02-10-2009, 01:26 PM
Dwight should be #1 for sure.

skinsfan4life80
02-10-2009, 01:27 PM
They both injury prone..but a healthy JO is 5 times better then a health Kaman. Bogut isnt there yet

yao should not be number one...he's injured ALL the time. has he played a full season yet? he's not the number one center

skinsfan4life80
02-10-2009, 01:32 PM
The only center on that list who isnt injuryed all the time is Howard..and he is still young..and he doesnt have half the offensive talent Yao does

Duncan is a center. Especially with Matt Bonner playing the part of "the other twin tower" for the Spurs this year. He is also the best center in the NBA

Howard is battling for the top spot out East...Yao has just as much talent around him (Artest, Battier, Scola, TMac, Landry) and is just hoping to make the playoffs out West. Howards numbers are better across the board, his winning percentage is much better, he doesn't miss games, and even though he's 7 inches shorter than Yao he averages 5 more rebounds and one more block per game. This year it's not even close.

dwight howard and al jefferson are better then yao

Jermaine O'neal should not be in the top 10. A good replacement for him would be Al Horford. Move everybody below where O'neal was up a spot and put Horford at 10.

Dwight should be ahead of Yao and Shaq is too high....And, what is Jermaine even doing on the list?

skinsfan4life80
02-10-2009, 01:51 PM
all that is true..i wasnt talking about there teams..i meant howard himself doesnt have half the offensive moves or shot yao does. Yao has averaged 25 points for a whole season before Howard will never do that. all of his points are off of dunks..you get him more then 5 feet away from the basket he is useless.

Get him 5 feet from the basket and he'll seal you and get to the rim. His footwork has been good enough to do that since last season.

I disagree completely. Duncan is the greatest PF of all time, but when he moves to C that argument disappears very quickly. Especially all time but especially this year.

Duncan faced Bynum this year in LA and Bynum outplayed him. I think SA didn't fare too well against Orlando this year either.

Dwight Howard is the best center in the NBA even when Duncan is playing center.

Secretly, its why LA is clearly superior to SA this year. It's b/c Duncan struggles at the C position when he has to guard opposing 7 footers like Pau or Bynum.

I am absolutely appalled that Jared Jeffries is not on this list

Jermaine??? Marcus Camby???? NENE has stomped on both of them. BOOO THAT LIST.

MagicBucsSox
02-10-2009, 02:42 PM
any list that doesnt have dwight #1 has no credibility, yao doesnt even do the first things a C does which is rebound block shots, intimidate. he's soft all he has over dwight is offense hands down, and dwight still avg my than him

why is bynum on the list he never even avg 10 boards, nor is he better than chandler,or dalembert, please he's #5 only reason his name exists is because he a laker
the true list
howard
yao
shaq

Brook Lopez DEF should be on there.

BayAreaNative
02-10-2009, 03:56 PM
Brook Lopez should be a legitimate ROY candidate (although Rose probably will and probably should win) and will be one of the best centers in the league in a couple years. Dwight Howard does exactly what you want a center to do: rebound, block shots and score in the post. And he took the Superman nickname away from Shaq. That's gotta be saying something.
Yao can go down to 3 or 4 on this list. He's soft and will probably never play a full season.

put yao third and throw O'Neal and Camby somewhere and i can endure that top 8. even though okafor is inconsistent. matter of fact, that list is horrible.

Only guy that doesn't belong on that list anymore is Camby, and I think Nene would be a good addition to the list.

Even injuried O neal is better then Horrford..more points more blocks and much better shooter

Since you are all about facts here are some for you. Yao and Howard played this year..who won Rockets thanks to Yao 22 pts and 13 rbs D12 had 13 pts and 8 boards in a loss. Last year they played twice 26 and 10 for yao in the first meeting Howard 16 and 8 and fouled out. Second game 19 and 17 to howards 21 and 13 and foul trouble that game too. Game they played before that Yao 37 point Howard 16 we can keep going but it only gets worse. If you wont to talk facts Yao kills Howard everytime they play. If you dont think Yao is dominat you should ask Howard he knows first hand. He has never out played Yao in 9 career games he avgs 13 points vs Yao. Still think Yao cant compare to Howard?

skinsfan4life80
02-10-2009, 05:27 PM
Dwight Howard career numbers vs Yao13 an 9 and Yao cooks him everytime..no one remembers when he droped 37 on him last year or pulled down 17...Howard cant guard Yao period..thats not an opion thats a fact

Dwight should definitely be #1 and I think I'd take Bynum over Shaq a this point in his career.

he is always injured.

Yao should not be #1. Dwight should have the number one spot. Hopefully in the future Bynum can be in the #2 spot behind Dwight.

a 35 year old Shaq's numbers are better then a 21 year old bynum..and what is so great about NeNe that im not seeing..15 and 8 in a career year? is that great? what does it say about u as a player when u put up 15 and 8 and people think you are having a break out year.

02-10-2009, 08:19 PM
How about MEHMET OKUR!! 18 ppg. 8.5 rpg. He's a legit center and all-star player. He's def. above Kaman, JO, Nene etc.

skinsfan4life80
02-10-2009, 08:42 PM
I just dont think people really see okur has a center..he scores most of his points on jump shots..and spends very little time in the paint. But he can score and shot.
