blah...mo williams and allen are so close why not just give the nod to williams. Only seems fair that CAVS get 2 players in. If its about the 'bigger" market issue...then bring in DROSE for Chicago

Allen deserved it just as much as Mo. And I believe Allen was the guy who should've won All-Star MVP last year but unfortionatly his first name isn't Lebron.

yea who the hell voted for iverson. i didnt even vote because its so dumb how guys like iverson are in it and tmac and yi almost made it. amare shouldn't even be in it well at least starting. mo williams shoulda made it over allen because what does allen do? he hits open 3s all game because kg and pierce slash and get him the ball. if eddie house got allens minutes, he would be in the all-star game. and didn't house get minutes last week and had a couple of good games. exactly.

I disagree, no way Mo should have made it over the superior player with the superior stats and the superior record who is also the superior defender. What case could you make for him?

The efficiency with which hes played and the defense, and his importance to a teams offense (+/- wise) has never been this high.

Then his % would be down also. It averages out usually.
Your right though, they usually do average out, but even if we account for it hes still shooting so much better than his possession rate that hed have a career year if he were more of a priority offensively, thats how hot hes been.

Hes like the guard version of Pau Gasol offensively, in that hes absolutely torching teams now that hes not the lone guy.

I know your not talkin about ray allen. There numbers are just about the same. Mo rebounds and passes more, also better FT shooter. Allen gets 1 more point.

The Thing is boston now has 3, magic have 3, cavs have 1. The team that beat boston by 15 just sometime ago. Its really a shame, mo has done so much for this team.

ok mike brown do your thing. pierce, garnett, allen all play 42 min.

How can you say Mo is a better FT shooter then allen? i dont care if Mo made whatever amount he made in a row. Im not sure if allen has missed yet, but he was like like 39 ina row this year. Allen is one of the best FT shooters of our time.

I'm going by the stats this season. The stats are so close, that the guy who is making a bigger impact on his team should get it. Allen has 2 other hall-of-famers on his team.

Their numbers are in Ray's favor, their rebounding% are identical except that Rays on the better rebounding (thus surrounded by better rebounders) so hes actually the better rebounder, superior TS%, lower t.o.%, MUCH higher offensive rating, higher PER despite Mo having the higher usage rate, all in all his stats are more impressive.

The Thing is boston now has 3, magic have 3, cavs have 1. The team that beat boston by 15 just sometime ago. Its really a shame, mo has done so much for this team.

Yea thats basically the only argument people can come up with, except that politics shouldnt punish the player who is clearly having the better year.

Put it this way, how many All-Stars did LeBron have his 2nd year in the league? How many All-Stars does he have now? Is that any kind of way to measure a teams talent pool? Magic had 3 All-Stars because the team relies on all 3 of them more than the Cavs rely on Mo, the Cavs are the superior team because of their overall depth, not due to the individual brilliance of any sort of tandem. Their entire team is filled with quasi-stars around one MEGAStar. Not every star is created equal.

I'm going by the stats this season. The stats are so close, that the guy who is making a bigger impact on his team should get it. Allen has 2 other hall-of-famers on his team.
Thats why Im going with Ray Ray, hes so much better than his numbers that it gives the team a huge boost. Whereas Mo Williams is being maxed out on a team that desperately needed his scoring/shooting ability next to LeBron, however if you paired Ray with Bron Im sure hed be doing alot more and the Cavs would be even greater. Like I said, superior player/defender.
