Feb. 20
VCU at Nevada
Illinois State at Niagara

Feb. 21
George Mason at Creighton
Butler at Davidson
Miami (Ohio) at Evansville
Hofstra at Fairfield
Green Bay at Long Beach State
Liberty at Old Dominion
Boise State at Portland State
Utah State at Saint Mary's
Northern Iowa at Siena
Buffalo at Vermont
Northeastern at Wright Statehttp://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=3881625&name=katz_andy

Usually they're pretty big events for mid major schools. Northern Iowa isn't a bad matchup for Siena, since UNI is ranked 6th in the Mid Major Top 25 and Siena is ranked 4th. Although I think Northeastern would of been a better choice.

How is Davidson/Butler a bracket buster?

How is Davidson/Butler a bracket buster?

Because Butler and Davidson are both mid-majors, and in Butler's case, wasn't supposed to be half as good as they have been this year.

Yes, but where's the 'bust'? They're both going to the tournament...

But they were both scheduled for a bracket buster long before the season started. Davidson wasn't supposed to be a ranked team and Butler was supposed to be fifth in the conference. I'm not sure if that is what determines the bracket buster games. I do know though that Butler has another bracket buster game next year and host Davidson at home in a bracketbuster rematch.

Yeah Bracket Busters is not really a term for the game in general. Its just a way to showcase teams that could bust the brackets in the NCAA tournament if they make it.

Oh ok. I didn't realize it was a before-the-season scheduled thing. I thought they just picked bracket buster matchups towards the end of the regular season.

VCU and Siena could really make some noise...
VCU has one of the top pg's in the nation in eric maynor.
Siena has a few in Kenny Hasbrouk, Ryan Rossiter, Alex Franklin, and Edwin Ubiles.

I still don't like that they don't have a real "big man" they can't really matchup with the dominating inside teams. Rossiter while he can pull down the rebounds is small. Thats the only problem with Siena. I just hope they can get to the tournament and get the #10 seed or so so we won't be really big underdogs.

Butler 75 Davidson 63. I'll continue to say it, Curry is extremely overrated and that was clear today when Butler exposed him for what he is, a combo guard that will be a career bench player in the NBA. He can scored 30 points per game, but it takes 25 shots, four or five of which are terrible and chucked up. Glad to see Butler come back strong and beat an overrated Davidson team.

Siena was awesome, until the end. But good job to UNI in putting up a fight at the end and not giving up. #5 was automatic at 3's.

Hopefully this ups our RPI back into the 20 range.
