This upcoming Sunday the Spurs play at Boston at 1 pm eastern while the Lakers play at Cleveland at 3:30 pm eastern

A few weeks ago Boston had the early game against Dallas while LA had the later game against San Antonio.

Curious on why the Celtics don't get the prime time game when they are the champs?

because they're on the East coast.
the game starts at 1 eastern which is 10 pacific. 10 is too early for the West to start
3 eastern is 12 pacific. thats a little better than starting at 10

and the Lakers sell better than the Celtics. even if the Lakers were fighting for a playoff spot and boston was still king.

and for this week, c'mon. LeBron vs. Kobe? are you kidding

The West/East coast times are the reason as previously mentioned, but I think people would rather see Kobe/Lebron anyway
