Kobe Bryant scored 34 points on 13-20 shooting in the first half of Monday's game at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks.

Bryant's previous career high at Madison Square Garden is 46 points, which he put up in February of 2003. He also scored 40 points in January of 2006, 39 points in December of 2007 and 33 in 2001.

Bryant made his MSG debut in November of 1996 when he scored just one point in three minutes.

Kobe is the highest goal scorer in Gardens history with 61 points. At the end of the game, the Knick players looked lost as the home crowd shouted MVP!MVP!MVP for MR Bryant as he exited at garbage time. One cannot help but sympathize with the woeful Knicks. Great game.

Kobe made NY defenders look silly on a few possessions. Dude has incredible footwork and awareness on the offensive end.

Great performance by Kobe, he shot about 62 pct. from the field to score his 61 points and set the MSG record for most points in in it's history. Kobe is truly one of the greatest performers of all time!!!

As a guy stated above somewhere, the Knicks do have the best damn fans in this country. Spike Lee is awesome; when he's in LA he's a Lakers fan, when he's in New York he's a Knicks fan.. I'm still waiting for that long-lost documentary Spike is working on w/ Kobe... Get that damn thing out you lazy ***! =]

I'm just waiting till tomorrow to see the negative post about how Kobe had 61 points, 0 rebounds, 3 assist, and how he ball hogged. Let the war begin! j/k :D
