I gotta say ray allen. I wouldve rather seen him than paul pierce. But I hate seeing players on losing teams make it. like devin harris or danny granger as good as they have been

ray allen should have been an all star over jameer nelson imo.... ray is having a great year.. and boston should have more players on the team then orlando.

Melo missed like 14 games, not 10

and Al Jefferson is the real answer here. I couldn't believe David West got in over AlJeff.
I wonder if West is gonna be "injured" so that the NBA could throw Jefferson in there to make everything alright

i hate that mindset.
allstar caliber players dont deserve recognition JUST b/c they are on a bad team?:pity:

shaq is shooting about 10% higher than jefferson. with only a few PPG and 1.6 RPG less.
there are worse candidates to bump off than shaq.
like david west.

I can agree with AL Jefferson but not Millsap or Williams, in the west.
In the east Ray Allen was a snub but Jameer really deserved it and Allen Iverson didnt.

All in all its a popularity contest.

I like the fact that Carmelo didn't make it. Because it shows they are being fair with the selection process. Carmelo is the popular choice, Olympian, all star, great scorer, but hes been hurt a good part of the season

Al jefferson no context. Melo missed 10 games. there's no ONLY about it. Thats a 1/4 of the games they've played so far. Chauncy revamped that team, he should be in too

I really didnt even think Melo was close to being a snub, he has played beneath himself this year and has had injury problems. I would go with Al Jeff and Mo Williams.

iverson is a waste of a spot on the all star team... the fans shouldnt be able to vote anymore imo, they could of given that spot to someone who deserved it like ray allen, david lee, and many others..

...well to some people are Mo Williams, Nelson, or Lewis better than Vince Carter or Ray Allen? No. They deserved the spots and both have played great. On the West, Millsap has been great, but not All-Star great. Al Jeff deserves it way more. Even Kevin Durant deserves it more than West or Millsap. Also Deron has been playing great even though he had a major injury. Tony Parker missed 10 games just like Melo, I don't get how some people are so biased and hypocritical. ASW is an individual award for someone not team success.

You mean CELTICS W/L vs. TIMBERWOLVES W/L? I don't believe their is such a thing as individual players W/L, is there?

And as for the supporting cast? The best argument you can make for an individual is the teams W/L record? Seriously, I expect more from you. PER is a very good individual productivity stat and yes, your boy Ray, loses by a land slide. :p

Look at this whole thread. All but a hand full of people say Jefferson is the biggest snub.
