Morning Skate Update: 1/31 Sam Kasan Pittsburgh Penguins Jan 31, 2009, 12:35 PM EST
Garon Goaltender Mathieu Garon will make his first start for Pittsburgh in the Penguins' matchup with the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night at Air Canada Center at 7 p.m.

The Penguins acquired Garon in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers Jan. 17 in exchange for netminder Dany Sabourin, forward Ryan Stone and a 2011 fourth-round pick. In 200 career starts, Garon has a 92-82-3-10 record with a 2.84 goals against average and .905 save percentage.

Pittsburgh held an optional morning skate on Saturday afternoon in which 11 players participated. Without a full compliment of players, line combinations couldn't be determinded.

However, pittsburghpenguins.com did learn that Alex Goligoski will play fourth-line wing in place of Paul Bissonnette. With Goligoski playing forward and Matt Cooke's return from suspension, the Penguins have 13 designated forwards. The final scratch will be a game-time decision.

It was also learned that defenseman Philippe Boucher will be scratched in the game, meaning Hal Gill will see game action after sitting out Friday night.

It'll be cool to see if this trade was worth it!:clap::D:cool:
