Who has the best shot at being traded? I think the Amare for Bosh deal might work.

For New York, I say DON'T deal David Lee. That franchise will be effed up more than ever if and when LeBron or some other star player doesn't go there.

Not saying that he isn't for sure, but just a precautionary thing.

Lee is going to be quite costly and they need to save up their money.

^^but if they dont trade him, theyll be stuck with lees presumably large contract...meaning less money for the big dogs

well obviously marion is on the block...

I think the Celtics might make a push for Joe Smith, or sign a vet FA..

I think the knicks might go after Diaw or Bell..or both.

I never said it was straight up. I did not go in depth. Ofcourse more players would be involved.

Brand to the Bulls.

I hope for the Sixers sake, we don't trade Brand. Chances are he won't be traded, but with business anything can happen.

Be serious. The Sixers won't trade Elton 1/2 a year into a 6 year deal. And him recovering from an injury that takes a full year of playing to recover from. Sometimes the media is so annoying

Why does Brand to the bulls make sense? Who would the sixers get back, Larry Hughes? Uhh, no thanks.

Bosh > Amare, come on, Bosh has all the facets of the game that Amare lacks so dearly

01-29-2009, 06:38 PM
Well I mean the Sixers play better without him. That's a fact.

The Sixers play better once Iguodala gets out of his annual early season slump. That's a fact. Their 2-1 with Brand in the lineup since he has been back. It wasn't him that was the problem.

No, it's not. The Sixers have played better since Mo Cheeks left, not Brand.

Amare is not being traded!

You've got to love it when trade rumors surface in Toronto and New York about a player being on the block in Arizona. That's what we saw over the weekend, as outlets in both places had Suns forward Amar'e Stoudemire being traded before the deadline. They probably should have checked with the Suns, however, as a source close to the situation told HOOPSWORLD today that there is absolutely no truth to the notion that they're shopping Amar'e.

It's not hard to see where the trade talk is coming from. Shaquille O'Neal isn't happy about the level of intensity he's seeing from his teammates in general and Amar'e specifically. He's been more than vocal on that point. Say what you want about Shaq, but he's in the best shape I've seen him in for a long, long time and he believes he can help another team win a championship before his time is up. Imagine how he must feel after putting in all that work to get into shape only to have his teammates let up.

Amar'e is expected to be one of the biggest names in free agency during the summer of 2010, and that won't change a whole lot even with his current lackadaisical approach to the game. It will generally be assumed that he'd play harder for a different coach or in a different system. That said, if you're a general manager looking to spend the bulk of your cap space on a franchise player, there may be better options available in 2010 than a guy who seems to have quit on his current team. Amar'e should keep that in mind as he thinks about how he wants to finish the 2008-09 season . . .whether that's in Phoenix or somewhere else.

They are just straight up rumors.

I'm sure the Bulls would love to have Brand, but Philly is gonna give him a chance until the All-Star break. If it still isn't working, then they might trade him. But who would the Bulls possibly wanna give in return?
