What would happen if Allen Iverson was indeed traded from the Pistons, which could happen before the all star break, and traded out West? Would he still start for the East? Would he get a back up spot on the West? What would happen?

His east all-star votes would count in the west. With 1.8M votes he would not qualify to start, and may or may not be selected as a reserve by coaches. In the East, Vince Carter would be moved into the starting spot, as he is the 3rd highest vote total for guards at 1.24M

Yeah if the trade was made officially before the NBA offices closed on Friday before the All-Star game began Iverson would not play in the game. I would think he'd possibly lineup in a suit on the Western side as he did when he was traded to Denver. If the trade is near complete but not finalized Iverson can still play for the East as Jason Kidd did last season.

Yeah he was traded right before the break, but the voting ended already so they let him play for the East last year.
