Drafted by the Washington Wizards in the 1st round, 1st pick, 1st overall of the 2001 NBA draft.

Official Scouting Report: (http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Alt/alt.sports.basketball.nba.la-lakers/2008-01/msg02236.html)

The most gifted player in the draft, Brown is a great athlete with exceptional basketball skills. He can handle the ball like a guard and has a good-looking stroke from 15 to 17 feet. Brown also has good floor vision and passes extremely well. Brown is currently at his best when he faces up and takes people off the dribble using an excellent crossover dribble. Defensively, Brown is a devastating shotblocker with superb leaping ability, timing and reach. Because of his combination of size, strength and skill, Brown is often compared to Chris Webber and Kevin Garnett. At this point, Brown has a much more NBA-ready physique than Garnett had coming out of high school."

THE Curse:

You can argue that the Detroit Pistons are now losing games, because they lost their leader in Chauncey Billups. I'm convinced that this is solely the fault of the "Bona-fide Scrub" Kwame Brown. First the Wizards, then the Lakers, Grizzlies, and now the Pistons. Wherever he goes the losing follows him, and it's no coincidence.

The writer of that scouting report Cursed Kwa-may's entire basketball career... :sigh:

Grizzlies were already losing before Kwame had even been traded there and the reason the Pistons are losing is cuz Joe Dumars channeled Isiah Thomas' spirit and thought Iverson gave them a better shot at the championship than Billups sooooo..........

Hey, Kareem offered him help, and he said no. That pretty much says everything about him.

I think one of the reasons why he hasn't hit his prime or really developed as a player is because the guy has no self confidence, yet has an incredibly gifted body. I still think he can turn it around but he needs to find the right team to play for. Its a wonder why he didn't go to Europe to play because at least his skills would've been more polished and ready for the NBA.

Or college too. ;) I think he originally intended to go to Florida, but opted for the 2001 draft instead. College ball would've helped him so much but oh well.
