Here is the list of the Patriots free agents to be. Who should we resign and, who do you think will not be with the team in 2009?

Matt Cassel- I think he will be traded
Lamont Jordan- I'd like to see him come back but, I don't think he will
Heath Evans- I think he is a must
Jabar Gaffney- He can be replaced and, I think he will
Chris Hanson- Why not
Russ Hochstein- There's some good O-Linemen available, I wouldn't mind upgrading. Mark Colombo maybe?
Lonie Paxton- He'll be back
Ryan Claridge- Can easily be replaced
Larry Izzo- He'll also be back
Rodney Harrison- I'd love to see him come back for one last year
James Sanders- I doubt he'll be back

I wouldn't mind signing Chris Gamble either to give the young corners one more year to develop.

Ryan Claridge hasn't been with us since 2005...

A list has been posted in multiple places already. FYI.

Here is the current list - w/ my comments for each:

Rodney (retires or not retained)
Mike Wright (hope they can sign him, solid player - probably gone)
James Sanders (not sure, a bit below average player, hopefully he is a back up for '09)
Gaffney (worth keeping if possible)
O'Neal (bye bye)
Hochstein (retain if possible, good player)
Evans (cheap, filler guy)
Jordan (he's gone IMO)
Hanson (I hope he is gone)
Cassel (gone for pick(s))
Paxton (keeper)

Alexander (filler)
Izzo (probably retires)
Lewis Sanders (meh, gone)
Britt (gone)
Woods (gone)
Ventrone (gone)
Levoir (keeper)
Seau (gone)
Richardson (gone)
Colvin (gone)
Bender (gone)

Look at this website where I got all the 2009 NFL free agents. It shows the list of available free agents by team and, it shows Ryan Claridge in the Patriots section. Take a look.

I knew I haven't heard his name in a while. This website is all screwed up. lol

If he isn't he should be.

You mean Green-Ellis? If you do, then I believe he is not signed. He was signed to the practice squad earlier this season, which usually indicates only a 1 year deal.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis on January 10, 2009 his contract status was changed: a 2009 salary of $385,000 and a 2010 salary of $470,000.

Do you know if it's guaranteed?

There's a poll in the NFL comparisons section about who's a better QB Tom Brady or Peyton Manning and Manning is winning big. Go there and straighten the poll out guys.

I'm sick and tired of the Brady vs. Manning debate...it's pointless.

I doubt it, but I'm too tired to look it up right now, tomorrow.
