Before the season started, I made a bet with a couple friends saying they would not win more than 60. About halfway through the season they're at 31-8. Its gonna be close, but I predict they'll win 60-65 at Most, and 55-60 at least. Your thoughts?

Laker's have most talent in the NBA.
Laker's should win NBA, unless kobe tries to be the Star.

Problem is I don't know if kobe can resist his nature, like tonight in LA against Orlando.
kobe took the last 7 shots in tight game, missed all...2 air balls & one stuffed on him.
Never saw him look to move the ball, pass or play any type of team work, just come down & dribble till shoots.
The most talent in the NBA can be negated by this.

No he did not. The score was 101-101 with a minute left in the contest. Bryant made the basket to get the Lakers up 103-101.

It was 101-101 with 1:04 to go. Bryant did what he always does, clicking for 103-101, but little Jameer Nelson made a three pointer, then two free throws to make it 106-103.

It is a dead heat for the best record in the league.

Boston,LA, Cleveland and Orlando and 3 of them are in the much more difficult east.

I will go with 60 wins. Its funny how, at this point, the east has 3 teams that could get 60, yet the west only one.

?????

Are you kidding? The west is farrrrr more competitive than the east.

I dont know why everyone is shocked that the east is at least a little better than they have been. They have been getting the top picks for the last decade. At some point in time, they had to make a good choice and get a good player.

But the east is only top heavy. If I was a fan of a top team, I would want to be in the east. Who ever is the top team is pretty much going to get 2 byes on their way to a good series. Lets say the Cavs keep the top record, they get to play the Bucks in the first round. Then they get to play either the Hawks or the Pistons. Then they would have to face a team that can really compete for a championship in the ECF'S.

The Lakers are going to get a very tough series for all three rounds provided they get by all of them on their way to the finals. The West is still tougher in the playoffs. Its just the way it is.
