The Devils performance against the Ducks once again showed an offensive prescience even if they were not able to get too many shots off during the game scoring their second goal on only their second shot and being outshot at one point in the second period at a 3:1 ratio at 21-7.

The defense was dismal in allowing 4 goals during the game in a game that they deserved to lose. If the untimely fourth goal in the final period was not given up the Devils would have been in position to tie the game up.

The Ducks are a strong team and hopefully that is all that was up with the loss. The goals the Devils did score seemed to be out of luck but there was one unfortunate arguable goal that the ducks recieved. Whether or not the puck was actually in under Clemmensen nobody knows. Overall the Devils need to pick there game up unless they would like to fall behind mid season and a position where they would have to play catch up for the second half of the season.

Hero- Holik. If for no other reason it is for taking the puck off his head and sending it into the goal. He resembled a soccer play heading the puck and redirecting it into the goal even if it was by accident. During his interview he joked around saying that luckily the shot came off of Mike Mottau's stick because he couldn't hurt a fly with his shot

Zer0-Scott Clemmensen. Scott had a rough night including the unfortunate puck that wound up under him which may or may not have been a goal although it was ruled a goal on the score sheet. Hopefully Scott can rebound and play at the caliber he had been playing previously.

the devils really can't flip flop around anymore, they have established that Clemmer is really the starter for another month and a half until marty gets back. Unless Clemmer really falls into a whole he will play the majority until brodeur is back.
