7-7 last game and 5-5 today. He is really proving everyone wrong and playing absolutely amazing. If he continues to play this way and stay healthy, the Suns will be very very scary.

It's about time he makes those FTs, but I think he should have done this when he was with the HEAT. I think the HEAT would have been much more of a threat then if Shaq had improved his FTShooting then.

He said he is using his old form he did in high school and college. It would be awesome if he actually shoots over 70% FT for a season before he retires.

Wow he better be careful, his team might think he has a shot further than 3 feet from the basket.

He's made 12 in a row. Lol. This isn't the first time people made a buzz about Shaq making some FT's. Everyone who thinks he has fixed his FT's will b very dissapointed to realize that the sun shines on a dog's *** from time to time.

Sooner or later he will miss 15 in a row, which will bring the world back to normal again...

I never stop being amazed at how fans think bad FT shooters just don't try or practice.
Or that some coaching will turn them around.
Sorry, it just doesn't happen. They can make some improvements but not much.

Three of the greatest NBA players of all time all shot 51-57% career FT's:

Bill Russel
Wilt Chamberlin
Shaq

Do fans really believe these superstars didn't try? didn't practice? Didn't get coaching?
You might just as well assail them for not being as fast as AI.

I love Shaq & am glad to see Shaq doing better this year at the line.
But forget about him ever shooting 65% for a year or probably even 60% for a year.
Shaq is on a roll great but .220 hitters sometimes go 4 for 4 in baseball.
And remember in Wilt's 100 pt game, Wilt hit 28/32 free throws.

As a kings fan, ive seen this before. I like how everyone makes a big deal about this, but how about in 2002 western finals when Shaq went 13-17 in game 7, 11-15 in game 6, and 9-13 in game 4.......Yeah perfect time for shaq to turn into Dirk Nowitzki from the line.

Scary yes, but do you think they will be scarier than the Lakers, Spurs and maybe even the Hornets?

you had to put the lakers in this. yes we all know their good and the favs to win it all this year. point is shaq is playing good and making his free throws and suns have the potential to be a pretty good team.

That's almost as impressive as Calderons' 72/72 this season (that has to be a record!?).

That's almost as impressive as Calderons' 72/72 this season (that has to be a record!?).

Just found that the record for free throw streak is 97 (Micheal Williams, Minnesota, March 24-November 9, 1993)

Calderon's streak is now the 3rd longest free throw streak in NBA history.

I don't get why he didn't revert to his High School form, say............a decade ago.
He woulda been the greatest center ever hands down.

This topic has actually made me wonder what his longest consecutive FT streak is.

It can't be much higher than 12.

Elias Sports Bureau anyone?

There are 3 things that are certain in this world: Death, Taxes, and Shaq can't shoot free-throws. I don't expect him to keep this up
