My vote goes to Samuel Dalembert:

Sammy has the ability to post good numbers on the defensive end but THAT'S IT. I, along with any other Sixers fan who's paid partial attention to a Sixers game has seen him take the most horrific goal tends, stupid fouls and commit turnover that are so horrible, you wonder how someone so dumb can be a professional.

Who would get your votes and why?

Are we talking about just any players in the league or actually good ones here?

If not then I would say guys like JR Rider, Darius Miles, Josh Howard, Richard Dumas, Joakim Noah and Len Bias take the cake. Anyone who does drugs especially a professional who makes millions of dollars to me has a low IQ.

Luke Walton is the most overated IQ guy in the NBA. People say he has IQ cause he makes great passes, but not enough IQ to understand when to attack from the triple threat ( not much of a triple threat though, very streaky shooter). I do like him, wish he would play better from the triple threat position.

I wanna say Chris Kaman, but I heard he got ADHD so maybe that's why he does weird things when he's on the court.

Tony Allen from the Celts is great at times, but he has these "bull dozer" moments where all he does is run into people or run around the perimeter with no purpose whatsoever.

01-06-2009, 12:51 PM
another one of those guys is Ricky Davis, who likes his own stats more than his team's. Remember the triple-double rip off where he missed on purpose to grab his own rebound? I like the guy, but damn, stuff like that doesn't belong in the NBA.

Rudy Gay, Its unveliebable does not know what the words open man or pass mean, does not know when to run and when to wait.

Its laughable that there is people still that thinks he should run the grizz , Oj mayo is already a better and more intelligent player he will ever be.

Gerald Green definitely slipped my mind..good one. I think he, JR Smith, and Tyrus Thomas play like video game characters...run n shoot. J.R. has his flashes of grasping the game, but Tyrus and Gerald still play wit a boy & girls club mentailty.

Justin Williams wins this one. He's a big athletic center who can tear the rim down if nobody is in front of him, but you start playing a little defense and he has no idea what to do. He frequently travels and his best post move is throwing the ball up behind his head. He's never made a free throw in his life (I don't think) and if you ever listen to his interviews, you have no idea what he is saying.

Are we talking low IQ in terms of basketball or in terms of life choices, as far a life choices go all the JR Riders, Richard Dumas, Jamal Tinsleys and Ron Artests of the NBA would rank high in overall stupidity. As far as making dumb plays during the stretch run of an important game this may surprise you but I would say Rasheed Wallace many times makes huge defensive errors. he could be dominate if he actually care to be, but rewind to the NBA Finals against the Spurs game 5 in Detroit, he leaves Horry wide open (a 3 point threat) to try to force a double team in the corner where I am almost sure it was Billups on Tony Parker (Chauncey needed no help as Parker is no 3 point shooter particularly in 2005). The following year his technical fouls cost him a game suspension in game 6 against Miami, he followed the same plan the next year in game 7 against Cleveland. His complaining to the refs about missed calls takes his head out of the game and he plays passively thinking the that world is against him instead of just shutting his mouth and playing ball. I think he is a great player and again if he wanted to be the best player in the league he could be, but he chokes down the stretch and takes stupid shots and gambles to much defensively.

Gerald Green is en route to becoming the first man to win the Dunk Contest without actually being an NBA player. Seriously, a bad team should hire him so their fans can at least hae someone in their uniform to watch over all-star weekend. They guy really is an athletic marvel, it's hard to imagine that he's so dumb that he can't even make a roster as a glorified bench warmer.

Also, the late Eddie Griffin could also qualify for poor Basketball IQ as well as poor general IQ

Smush Parker

How could A point guard cause Laker fans and Im sure Heat and Clipper fans to cringe every time he had the ball? PG's are supposed to bring stability and calm. And lets not mention his reaching and giving up penetration on defense. We called him Smush the "sluut" Parker because he gave up so much easy penetration

To sum it all up I used to scream for Smush to pass the ball to Kwame Brown! who is another top 5 candidate.
