Does anyone know how responsible he is defensively?

He is not bad. He really is stepping his game up this season scoring around a point a game (35 points in 36 games last time I looked). His age and not being physically mature held him back previously but I would not be shocked to see him get a call up this season or make the team next season. He is a legit 6-4 but only around 200 pounds. I would rate him one of our top 3 prospects. Seems to be a pretty good draft pick for a 2nd rounder.

The 4 guys I'm most interested to see play are this kid, Del Zotto, Derek Stepan, and Bobby Sanguenetti. Cherpy was high on my list before the tragedy as well.

do we know anything about the czech defender that played in the WJC. I'd never heard of him, i think he was a 3rd round pick, put he had i think 6 points in 5 games, sounds pretty solid, for a d-men especially.

With this team, does it really matter?

This kid is good. He had size and hands. He's playing for a bronze in the WJC's.

Probably not until the final stretch, barring any injuries. I would like to see a lot of them up.

Very hard to say. As Mess said injuries could play a roll. A big trade might also get him to the bigs. He is young and has plenty of time. :)

He scores a lot of goals. In the AHL though. As far as I know, he has only been called up once for 1 game I think. They need to give him a longer look. He is the best winger they have in Hartford. As far as anybody else, Moore and Anisimov are good too, but play center. I'm not sure if they are versatile enough to play the wing. We are too deep at the center position.

It may be because he isnt looked at as a fresh young prospect. He is going to be 26 soon, he was a 9th round pick, and had a cup of coffee (5 games) as a BlackHawk before coming to the Rangers. If he plays well enough for another chance I would have no problem seeing him get it. Some guys make the bigs later in their career.
