I always think these are kind of interesting. Little things like Westbrook breaking the top 50 and having more than G. Wallace or Camby. Or OKC having the 2nd most in the league, which came as a surprise to me. Anyways, for what they're worth, there they are. I compiled the team info and pretty much copied and pasted the player info from here (http://www.sportsline.com/nba/dunk-o-meter/yearly).

Anything to show that the nuggets pwn right?

Also the spurs averaging less than a dunk a game=makes josh cry

houston only with 72? if we had a stronger Centre and hard SG we would be alot higher

Surprised to see OKC up there. With all those easy points you'd think they'd have won more than 4 games.

Anything to show that the nuggets pwn right?

That's why I did up the team thing in the first place, because I saw that Nene and K were both in the top 10 and wanted to see how teams overall were ending up. But I posted it here just since I took the time to do it I thought I should share the results, since that's just the kind of generous dude I am. (If anyone wanted to put up stats showing how the Nugs don't pwn, though, feel free to post 3pt% allowed. :smoking: )

Of course, low dunk totals don't always mean low pwnage (see the Spurs). And conversely, the opposing defenses who have had the best success against the Nuggets have tended to just clog up the paint and force them to shoot from mid and long range.

The fact that Den is starting to use txt speak in posts is proof imy influence pwnz

01-03-2009, 11:12 AM
Wow this is way cool. I didnt know Utah dunked that much to be fourth overall. cool to see.

01-03-2009, 11:17 AM
Before I looked at this I assumed Howard was in first by a mile.

I believe Ronnie Brewer even had the most dunks for last season.

I believe Ronnie Brewer even had the most dunks for last season.

He was 9th. Here (http://www.rotoevil.com/nba/dunk-stats)are some of last season's numbers. I'm guessing what you heard was that Brewer had the most dunks of any guard, although that would depend on looking at Iguodala (5th last season) as a SF instead of a SG, which last season I'm thinking wasn't really the case so much as it is this year.

Haha same, kinda surprised it was Nene.

01-03-2009, 02:24 PM
I knew the Nuggets were first because you posted a new thread for this

01-03-2009, 03:15 PM
Good, interesting post. I was really surprised to see Nene above Dwight. He keeps on surprising me actually.

01-03-2009, 03:46 PM
OKC up there, weird.

01-03-2009, 03:52 PM
didnt dwight have over 100 mor dunks than the number 2 last year? how is neen ahead of him? props to nene then

01-03-2009, 09:23 PM
Looking at the teams list again... why don't Texan teams dunk?

01-03-2009, 09:38 PM
Dude's a beast.

01-03-2009, 09:55 PM
LOL @ LeBron being in ridiculous territory. 11 dunks off first place. Also, Bynum/Shaq are pretty high considering their minutes/games played

01-03-2009, 10:23 PM
sweet go nuggs thats interesting. i always thought when i go to games that we seem to dunk alot more than the other teams i didnt think we and nene would be first thou.
