CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas could miss up to a month after suffering a small fracture when he twisted his left ankle last month.

Ilgauskas sprained his ankle during a Dec. 10 game at Philadelphia. He missed only three games but has been bothered by pain and stiffness since returning. An MRI taken Friday revealed that Ilgauskas, who missed nearly two full seasons earlier in his career with foot problems, chipped the talus bone in his ankle.

The 7-foot-3 Ilgauskas said he's likely to be "out three to four weeks." He said his left foot, which has pins and screws in it from a restructuring operation, was not affected by the injury.

The Cavs should trade Hickson and Snow for Brad Miller.

When I saw left ankle, I immediately thought about his long list of injury problems with his left foot, which they said this injury didn't affect, which is good news. Sucks for the cavs, cause however goofy Big Z looked, he was reliable post option, and a tough loss.

It'll probably hurt but really what center is going to impress enough to pass him?

I really hope the only serious part of that post was that the Cavs need a bigman.

Sure we could use a big man now. I still think our primary goal trade wise is not just that, I doubt it will be a center piece in a trade. We will most likely go for a team struggling and try to trade Wally and Snow for a player that is good, but not needed for they are rebuilding.

the cavs dont need to do anything too drastic. they're fine, big z will be back in a couple of weeks. if they are gonna make a deal, it should be for some bigs that can play some solid minutes for them while he is out. probably something like eric snow to the t-wolves for jason collins and mark madsen. both players are gritty, and they'll be able to fill in for a month. i think making a big trade while they are playing so well is not a good idea.

mike brown is the all-star coach. so Z will get in.

This guys heart is so big, Just a great guy and very good player. Had alot of injury issues and was able to fight back and play 4 stright years injury free. Then a couple years ago the passing of his unborn child. Guy has been threw so much and i wish the best for him.

26.

I think the cavs might end up getting jamison form the wizards. They suck and would love to get wallys contract. Plus get rid of jamison's. he is a good scorer, rebounder, passer. why not...

teams can offer a whole lot more than just expirings for jamison.

The votes to select East reserves are from all the East coaches. Not just the coach whose team has the best record.

Your post makes no sense.

everybody loves Z. Plus who would you rather have as a backup Center, Z or that guy from sixers? ya I think mike brown makes some calls as the east head coach, Z will get in.

also just to make sure you know, doc can't be the east coach twice in a row.

Expiring contracts are worth more then many things for teams that might stay out of contention for few years.

I never did. But come to think of it, who is going to back up Howard? JO has been hurt a lot. Dalembert is having an off season and to be honest, he was never an all star. They should just pull in a lot of PF and play them at C. When I think of Big Z. The last thing that comes to mind is all star.

Z is a 2 time all-star. should have made it last season over stupid sheed. who bricked every shot he took by the way.

As long as its a friendly bet then im cool with it. Z has to be playing for atleast a week before the break also. because mike brown won't want Z in there if he is still hurt.

so what are the conditions of this bet?

My terms:

- Loser of the bet uses a sig chosen by the winner for 2 weeks.

- Loser must make a minimum 20 posts in those 2 weeks period in the NBA Forum

What do you think?

I really don't know, but I'm confident Big Z is not that guy...

My top contenders for Eastern reserve center:

- David Lee: 15pts/11rbs (he isn't a C in the ballots, but I'd choose him to back up Dwight)
- Okafor: 14/11
- Bogut: 12/11
- Horford: 11/9

Btw, Big Z is averaging 14/7.

sad thing is players are voted on to play a postition that they dont play. lee, horford are not centers, bogut is not very good at all, can only rebound. Oakfor is on a horrible team. Do understand Z is a big reason why cavs are where they are.

He has made 2 allstar games, one with Lebron around.
