I dont know if this is already posted but I just saw on ESPN that Marbury would like to sign with Boston if he was bought by New York. Marc Stein reported

I can't see him benefiting them there...

Good for steph. Doubt boston would want him though. Don't see a need for him there, or a desire to **** with what they've got by adding marbury.

" Brawler47 Who doesn't want to sign with Boston these days. "

right on the money, who doesn't? especially for Marbury.

1. get a big paycheck by Knicks
2. and have good chance to have the Champion in the same season

Same guy who said he wanted to come to SA if he was bought out. Oh well, I'd rather him go and be selfish in Boston, then in SA.

Steph was my favorite player for the longest time, and I still think I'd enjoy him as a player (prob a dick as a person).

Even though it might ruin the Celtics "run" (I honestly dont think it would), I still think it would be fun and an interesting story line if Marbury were to sign with them.

I thought I saw a quote a while ago of Doc Brown pretty much saying he has no interest in Marbury? I know he never directly said it, but I thought I remembered him saying it in a way were everyone knew that he was talking about Marbury.

even if they do need help off the bench, i can't believe marbury is that answer.

Also, awhile back when a Marbury buyout looked more imminent, there was talk that part of the buyout agreement would be that he couldn't sign with and Eastern conference team. So either that's been scrapped, or perhaps this is ESPN, :gasp: just making news out of nothing.

Exactly. That is the main thing that needs to happen otherwise Marbury is stuck in NY until his contract is up.

we dont want him...

Yes we do

Atleast i do....I find it funny to hear people saying he will ruin our chemistry. Hes a bench player. Who will be signed for SUPER cheap. If he for one second acts up and disrupts ANYTHING he'd be gone. So all that talk can be ended. He will either help be rondos backup or he wont. I honestly think hes coming here with the right attitude. If he's in shape and still has it, WHY cant it work. As a backup, Stephon Marbury!!! I think he still wants to prove to people, 1. he can play, and 2. he isnt a problem or a cancer so id expect him to behave. ESPECIALLY considering he's coming to a team going for a title and trying to do something special, will not be some ****** team. Plus he's around the BIG 3 and he wouldnt even be a top 5 option.

I think this could turn out to be a good move for Boston, though it is a risky one.

wierd, we signed him for our Celtics in the sim league after he got cut as well

Why do all the washed up players go to Boston?

who is washed up other than cassel. please dont tell me you think ray and kg are washed up. anyway, espn said the celtics wanted to sign him and they didnt know why. if he can play up to his ability and share the ball i think him, house and allen would be a solid scoring punch off the bench. it will also help as far as ball handling since house is more of a sg. if he knows his role he wont be a problem and i think he would calm down for the chance at the the title.

if i was the knicks and i know that Marbury wants to go to Boston to win a championship...i would play hardball with him and tell him to accept a buyout at around $10 million dollars, perferbly less. don't want to? too bad...you'll be stuck on a team where the players, coaches, and management don't like you and you won't get a chance to play. chance at a championship? not till your contract runs out and by than...would Boston still want you? if Boston doesn't...who will cause it doesn't seem like anyone else wants you. if the Knicks do that...Marbuy would HAVE TO accept a bailout at around $10 million dollars if he wants to stay in the NBA.
