Clippers have an underrated starting lineup, but its good because they have no bench.
Clippers bench = detroit lions O-Line.

Oh yeah, that's why they have a chance of *making* the playoffs.

It does not matter who you have starting when you have a bench like the clippers.

Also, the clips don't have a chance of making the playoffs, I know that. Clips will get the #1 pick in the draft!

well... if you want to really look at it though, Kobe is sooooooo much better than anyone on that roster, it makes up for any advantage the Clippers have at other positions.

You're obviously a raging homer, the Clipps absolutely aren't top 3 starting 5, hell even top 5 is pushing it.

defense is not on paper...

yes it is. on paper means as a collection of individuals not as a team. defense still needs to be taken into account, otherwise the warriors should have the best team cause they can score a ton

Dude are you serious. The clippers starting five is nasty

There bench is the problem

S.Novak
P.Davis
M.Collins
J.Hart
D.Jordan

thats some of their bench players....thats ike 5 scrubs. Jordans a rookie and i think he has upside.

There other 2 good players(Kaman and R. Davis) are injured. There bench is soo pathetic they wont win until they fix it. But they have a future imo. Specially if they can land a FA. next summer and grab the 1 or 2 pick

The Lakers starting lineup is not that impressive if you just think in terms of the player and not how well they play with each other. It breaks down as a 21 year old center who is good, but by no means great. Gasol has been playing really good this year so no knocks on him. Luke Walton? :puke: Kobe is Kobe so they're solid at 2 positions. And Fisher. I love Fish. He is a great guy. But he is not a good point guard. Plus he is 34. He has trouble staying in front of people a lot now. He can hit an open 3 though. But sadly, thats all he's really good for now.

They are a good team because they know how to play with each other. If you just look at the names in the lineup without seeing the teams play with each other, the original poster might be right, the Clippers have a really strong starting lineup. But the problem is that we dont play games on paper. Some times, good players get in the way of other good players on their own team. That is why the Lakers work well together, Phil gives them their role and they carry it out. I think the Clippers need to implement a better offensive system to maximize each players total ability. Maybe take a page out of the Lakers book and put one of those starters on the bench like Lamar Odom

What about the Suns?

PG: Nash
SG: J-Rich
SF: Grant Hill
PF: Amare
C: Shaq

Shaq isnt what he once was, but he sure doesnt hurt the offense. Amare reaally benefits from his presence, everybody does. Nash is still a top 5 pg in the league. J-Rich doesn't get enough credit either, he's just known as a high flyer.

No they couldn't. They are a one trick pony. They have no interior game. Everything is a jump shot from that team. They dont have a post player. They will never get passed the second round until they get a post player. They are too easy to defend.

I like the Clippers but in no way do they have a top 5 starting lineup. Lakers, Celtics, Hawks, Orlando, Detroit, Jazz, Hornets, Nuggets, Rockets, Suns...all have better starting lineups than the Clippers. Sorry man. The only person that plays any defense on that team is Camby, but that is only help D. That is why they are going to get a top 3 pick in the next draft. Be real please...

yey. Clips have the best starting. by far. every player there from 1-4 can score 20 ppg on any given Night. Camby is an amazing Defender and can clean up some of the scraps that are left. Too bad they dont Have any Bench. Maybe they can get some for Kaman.

Although this isn't the starting lineup that is used often, it looks good on paper:

Jason Kidd
Jason Terry
Josh Howard
Dirk Nowitzki
Erick Dampier

+ there's a bench to back it up.

Gasol is second to no power forward in the nba imo! yeah gasol is better then (stoudamire), but the (stoudemire) I'm talking about is way better then gasol his first name is amare, not damon. If you even think that gasol is better or even equal you gotta be a laker fan or a idiot. Wait let me think not even laker fans would even say gasol is better and laker fans hate phoenix.

From an unbiased standpoint, surely Phoenix have to be considered.

PG - Nash
SG - Jason Richardson
SF - Grant Hill
