Simply put, which guy will have good games but then other times would have just flat out bad games which would make him inconsistent.

I'm going to say Jamal Crawford is the most incosistent "star" in the NBA.
Guy is great offensively and can drop 25 + a night but he goes thorugh those 3-4 games slumps of poor shooting and ball hogging.

He isn't a All-star but he is the most inconsistent player in the NBA IMO.

Boris diaw and raja bell. You have raja bell get18 points one night then 5 the next, same with diaw that's why we traded them both.

I want to Say Andrea Bargnani. Hes not a real star but being the first overall pick, you expect him to rise to greatness and there are games where he plays like a superstar than the rest of the time he plays like crap.
He gives you hope and than takes it away.

If there's one player that has stood out to me for the past few years since his 2nd season in the nba because he is so inconsistent, that would be ben gordon..... i've seen it too many times, he drops 42, then 7, back up to 34, then to 4, then maybe 19, and then back down to 8

Allen Iverson is pretty inconsistent. He'll have a big night and shoot 0-7 the next game. Thats ballin' right there.

Apart from AI, it's T-Mac. Injuries have a lot to do with his inconsistency.

Half of the Shooters in the NBA.

Ray Allen use to be one when he was with Seattle, He just had to carry that team and he would go off and on. It's like any shooter, It really depends on how the shot is feeling.

Paul Gasol is inconsistent now that he is with the Lakers, Vince Carter, T-Mac, Josh Smith who really could be a star, Iggy, Yao Ming at times, Mos Def Jermaine 0'neal, Jamal Crawford, rasheed wallace but i think he is over his hill, AI at times, Brandon Roy, who scored 52 den came back and scored like 12, Rudy Gay, Baron Davis, and really the most consistent player in the league to me is Chris Paul who can have a bad game and still have 10 or more assist

McGrady is definitely a top candidate, maybe the top one. When he is playing well though, he's one of the best in the NBA. But sometimes he looks like he's just out of it. Vince Carter is another guy. Last year I would have said Ray Allen too, but he has been good this year.

It's Pau Gasol, not Paul. Pau's been the most consistant player on the team, even more consistant than Kobe, so I'm not sure where you're getting your info from. Phil Jackson states the same thing all the time.

Nobody asked who's the most consistant, but being that you're from Louisiana and probably don't watch too many other games other than N.O., I can see why you're trying to pump up Chris Paul. The guy could play some great basketball, but that wasn't the question here.

IMO, the most inconsistant would have to be TMac and Vince Carter. On a non-star level, LO takes the cake :D

i dont understand how you could say Pau is inconsistent.
He is the most consistent Laker. look at his game log: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3513/gamelog;_ylt=AmM9CLjUxn5or0Ai5jSwMHeOPKB4

it's one thing to hate the Lakers (which is totally fine because I have teams I hate too), but you don't have to be ignorant.

I hate the C's, but I'm not gonna say that their big 3 is overrated.

I assumed you don't watch much basketball because Pau has been in the league for 8 years now, and if you don't know that his name's Pau instead of Paul then you obviously don't watch much basketball. The Lakers are one of the most media covered teams in the NBA and Pau's been the most consistant player on the Lakers all year. If you watched enough basketball outside of your local team, I think you would understand that. Instead, you call out a player that you don't even know, I'm assuming, just because he's on the Lakers. Your right, you're entitled to your opinion, but don't base it on hate.

I'm not sure if you would consider Peja a star, but he's pretty inconsistant due to his constant injuries.
