Let's say you switched Tmac (basically traded T-mac straight up for Pierce in 2006-2007) and put him on the Celtics last year and you put Pierce on the Rockets from 2006-2007 and 2007-2008, how does each team do?

I think the Rockets would have gotten past the 1st round if Pierce was there.

And if T-Mac was on the Celtics last year instead of Pierce, then the Lakers would be the champs.

Well if T-mac is Healthy and played like he did late against the Jazz, The Celtics would have destroyed opponents in the playoffs. The Rockets don't would beat the Jazz, probably the same outcome. Pierce would probably do everything like Tmac did but wouldn't get much help. Tmac is better than Pierce when healthy. But the keyword is healthy

Key word is bolded

And I love T-Mac. But you got to question his ability when you have as many 1st round exits as he's had, especially when he has an interview prior to being knocked out saying "if we lose, it's on me."

Great talent though, but I just think Pierce is better in clutch games.

Celtics fans will say they won't win no way.

When healthy they would, he was healthy during the playoffs right? And I still think they would have had the #1 seed.

Rockets would have been more or less the same.

If Tmac was healthy throughout the playoffs then they give the Lakers a run for their money but they lose.

If he isn't healthy, the Celtics would be lucky if they got past the Cavs or even the Hawks last year.

If we're talking about last years Tmac then the Celtics wouldve lost to Cleveland in 5 and Detroit would be in the championship round. Simply because Tmac wouldnt have been able to check LeBron the way Pierce did when it mattered. Give those Celtics a Tmac from the year before and maybe we have something but Pierce was clearly the better player on both sides last year, so such a downgrade wouldve been costly.

The Rockets wouldve been screwed though, Pierce is not the shot creator that the Rockets needed to win last year, and the year before there was simply no stopping Utah. Not with the supporting cast putting up zilch.

Then again this is assuming both teams end up in the same playoff slots. IMO both teams get worse with this trade.
