Grizzlies/Lakers trade:

Lakers got: Pau Gasol, 2010 second round pick (?-?)

Grizzlies got: Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, rights to Marc Gasol, 2008 first round pick (top 3 protected) (#28-Donte Greene), 2010 first round pick (top 6 protected) (?-?), cash

Mavs/Nets trade:

Mavs got: Jason Kidd, Malik Allen, Antoine Wright

Nets got: Devin Harris, DeSagana Diop, Trenton Hassell, Maurice Ager, Keith Van Horn, 2008 first round pick (lottery protected) (#21-Ryan Anderson), 2010 first round pick (?-?), $3M cash considerations

Wolves/Celtics trade:

Wolves got: Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, 2009 first round pick (top 3 protected) (?-?), conditional first round pick (?-?), cash

Celtics got: Kevin Garnett

I voted the Mavs.

Wolves got a young gun in Al Jefferson, Grizzlies won lots of cap space and a promising player in Marc Gasol, Mavs got Jason Kidd, who couldn't make the Mavs better, and lost Devin Harris, a player that one year later is on the verge of becoming an All-Star chosen by the East coaches.

I think the Celtics-Wolves trade was relatively even. Jefferson is on his way to being a star, if not already there.

The Mavs seemed to have gotten the worst out of all those deals.

Mavs, every other team either got good players, draft picks, or cleared cap space, while Dallas got Jason Kidd, who hasn't taken them to the next level in the West. Meanwhile, NJ got Devin Harris, who is having a breakout season, a pick that led to Ryan Anderson, who is looking solid so far this year, and a 1st rounder in 2010...

Most was the Nets because of the way Harris is playing right now like if he was the best PG in the East.

Least was the Mavs they got raped in that trade.

Grizzlies. They got dog crap in the Gasol trade and even the 1st round pick was lottery protected. Absolutely hosed on that trade.

All of the other trades at least involved one high quality starter in the acquisition.

The Celtics-Wolves trade was easily the most fair and if not for KG being THAT awesome, it was even a bit overkill for the C's in what they gave up (All-star caliber big man in Jefferson + 2 firsts)

Marc Gasol is the long term quality starter at C for Memphis.

The Grizzlies got the least talent in return clearly.

How could you say that? The Grizzlies realized they weren't going to win anything with Gasol on their team, so the only option they had was to move him. And I believe they actually got decent value back in return. They received a pair of expiring contracts, a couple of 1st rounders which will help them in the rebuilding process, and they also got Mark Gasol who's already proving to be one of the better young C's in the league.

I actually liked this deal from the Grizzlies perspective.

Grizz got the least amount of talent, but Dallas got the worst end of the trades. THey gave up a future stud for a guy who won't look at the rim, and is no longer a good defender.

They are set for the future. They got a top 3 pick and a top 6 pick. Marc Gasol, and a ****load of cap space when it comes to 2010.

Mavs.... oooo they got Kidd, but gave up better players.

The Mavs because Kidd is way past his prime and the Mavs didn't even give Harris a chance to develop.

YEAH for the Grizzlies. Not many other teams though. He's 2-3 years away from being good.

Grizz got the short end of the stick. I can see the Mavs regretting the Harris/Kidd trade though.

No the picks are protected meaning they won't get a top 3 pick or a top 6 pick from the Lakers.

They already got Donte Green who turned into Darrell Arthur who has been useless so far. They're likely to get another crappy player in 2010. Marc Gasol is garbage with his terrible defense that makes Pau look like the DPOY. And they probably won't spend any money to get good free agents, and none of the best free agents would want to come to Memphis anyway.

How did they get a top 3 and 6 pick, I thought they were future Laker firsts, which will be in the high 20's? Gasol will be alright, and 18 other teams have monster cap space in 2010.
