The Memphis Grizzlies waived forward Antoine Walker, club General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.

The 6-9, 245-pound forward did not appear in a game with the Grizzlies this season after he was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves on June 26, 2008 along with the draft rights to guard O.J. Mayo and guards Greg Buckner and Marko Jaric in exchange for the draft rights to forward Kevin Love, swingman Mike Miller, forward Brian Cardinal and center Jason Collins.

“Antoine Walker was a true professional during his time in Memphis,” said Wallace. “We wish him all the best in his effort to find another team where he can receive more playing time.”

He can help the Lakers win a championship and solve their sf problem.

The lakers don't have a SF problem, they have a pg problem, and toine is not an option for the Lakers.

I loved Toine, but I don't thinks anyone wants an overweighted Forward who just jacks up threes at will.

I think New York will take him. They're dumb.

Yeah, they've shown nothing but stupidity in their pursuit of big names in 2010. Oh wait.

Antoine at one point was great, but his productivity, if any is just so low and has gone down so much.

Never got to see him play here. The youth movement was in fast forward, so who knows if he's still got game?

He's not the same player as he was when he was Pierce's sidekick. If I were him, Id call it quits.

Mutombo is more likely to get signed than Toine.

The Celtics said they weren't not interested in Antoine so that leaves them out.
