Who is going to be the next Paul Millsap? IMO, Andray Blatch has the best chance. Once he stops being inconsistent, he will be close.

Kosta Koufos

If you're talking about a hardworking undersized power forward, then I'm not sure Kosta Koufos who is 7'0 would come into mind.

Richard Hendrix could very well be the next Milsap. Neither are super athletic but work hard on the boards. Only if he could get out of the D-league in GS.

JJ Hickson (not trying to be a homer but he does bring the same energy and hussle that Millsap does)

hendrix will be a great rebounder and shot blocker, but he must work on his offencive game if he wants to be compared to milsap.

O by the way Hendrix is now a FA becuase the dumbass warriors just cut him.

How about Tyler from NC.

Didn't even think of him, I think he'll be a solid player, and could be a Paul Millsap type of player.

who is Paul Millsap? usually when you ask who the next someone will be you use an established player, not some utah scrub who hasn't done anything yet.

i agree that guy with one more year in college could be a top 5 in 2009 draft

You're taking this the wrong way. I am asking who will be the next player that becomes Paul Millsap, who just all of a sudden completley takes over for an injured player. He will get a huge paycheck when he becomes a UFA. I was asking people who will turn out to be someone like him. He will be an established player in a few years.

Started the past 14 games, 17.8 points and 11.1 rebounds while shooting 56.7 percent, with a streak of 13 consecutive double-doubles.....

Jarvis Varnado, Mississippi State.

Much better defensively, but he's got Millsap's background.

I understand what you're saying.

I was referring to the author who wrote the article and title. I don't get the whole fantasy league perspective myself, and was pointing out how ridiculous the title sounds itself. I was bored.

Kosta Koufos' name was just mentioned 4 more times than it should've been in this thread.

In related news, Jimbob just busted 3 nuts.

I agree 100%. They remind me of each other for some reason.

Solomon Jones is the next KG.

Hickson is a hustler too from Cleveland.

yeah i saw that, but i don't get why it was there either.

...because one has to be a hardcore geek to give creedence to the fantasy league numbers. It might be useful for baseball, but basketball involves more variables than a blind look at statistical production.

It is all about Brandon Bass. Great energy. Very physical. Very underrated.

I think both Hickson and Blatche will be great. Blatche is a little more lanky than Hickson though.

def Carl Landry. Undersized, hustler who plays in the post. And hes a Boiler. Boiler Up!

Mziolkow
12-19-2008, 02:34 PM
and matt bonner shouldnt be in this comparison
hes a three point shooting big man, not really the millsap type, at least from what little ive seen of millsap(live in IN, not too many Jazz games on).

Lol My fellow jazz fans are crazy. arn't they??
But in all reality how about Kosta Koufos??

Faneik
12-19-2008, 02:56 PM
I once thought Millsap and Leon Powe were similar players, with similar production.

But Millsap is showing a game level that Powe couldn't match if he was in that team in that situation.

If Boozer leaves, the Jazz won't have a starting PF problem with Millsap. Nice pick by Sloan.

Wow the Jazz looks smart. Millsap is out no. And in his place rookie Kosta Koufos has 18 points 8 rebounds 8-11 shooting. So it looks like Koufos is the next Millsap.:clap:
