Im hearing all this talk about how rondo is an all star and "elite" player. Is it true seriously ask ur self to help you a look at this numbers PPG 10.9 RPG 5.00 APG 7.4 . Also i no he gets a lot steals but i think even the just above average stats he gets are not really him. He gets 7 assists on the best team in the league to be an all-star shouldn't you need like 9 or 10 to be an all-star and he is only getting 7 like i said the best team in the league. Im not saying he isn't good but just not an all-star it just doesn't make any sense to me. What do u think?

Rondo is ill, but not all star game worthy yet. although he is making a great case for himself right now. maybe next year, but myabe even this year if he continues to beat PGs like D-will and CP3.

hes not even an above average pg. i mean how many teams would he actually start on anyway? probably would be second unit on more teams than not.

I am by no means a fan of the Boston Celtics, but that's just false...

Rondo plays great defense, makes smart decisions, and pulls down 5 boards a game which isn't bad for a guard. I don't think he's an all-star yet, but he definately has the potential to be. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are going to age at some point, and when they do it's going to be on Rondo to become more of the go to guy. We'll find out more about him then.

I think he proved a lot of people wrong last year though, and he's still improving. I definately think he could be an all-star at some point in the future.

we already took a poll... the majority of PSD posters think hes just "above average" and could be replaced

Should the mods make and sticky an "Official Rajon Rondo Thread" just for C's fans??

You know, just like that 2010 thread.

I'm gonna start making some John Salmons threads. With all the Rondo threads, we need some variety.

Watch out next week....it will be a Bobby Brown thread.

i think he is boderline. who is better in the east this year? ai will probably start at pg and harris should be back up. i know everybody on here likes calderon, but i think him and rondo are both on that all star borderline. to say rondo is below average or average is crazy.

He's not all-star caliber yet, but he's certainly getting there, just as much from a lack of competition as from his own improvements. For argument's sake... where he ranks in a number of important categories in the East amongst point guards.

#1 in FG% (51.7%)
#1 in SPG (2.4)
#1 in RPG (5.0)
#10 in PPG (11.0)
#3 in APG (7.4)
#3 in A/TO ratio (3.09)

:sigh:

He's a good player, but do we really need to have yet another thread about him. He's not going to be an all star. End of story. End of Rondo threads.
