if he wasn't the legend that he is? Because quite honestly he's playing like an average sub at this point of his career. He just doesn't get benched because he's "Jason Kidd, one of the best PGs ever".

He's declining, but he still ranks 4th in PG's efficiency rankings(NBA.com) (http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Efficiency.jsp?league=00&season=22008&conf=OVERALL&position=5&splitType=9&splitScope=GAME&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=All%20Teams)

I wouldn't say he's playing like an average sub.

He still is one of the best rebounders/passers for his position.

I disagree a little with your points.. honestly sure the guy is declining in STATS (is that what you are looking at?)

The guy has great floor vision, can rebound, direct an offense, everything. there isn't one thing he can't do
