Who do you think is the most untradeable player in the NBA today, keep in mind that some are just too good to be traded and some too bad that nobody wants them.

Stephon Marbury holds down the top 5 positions on this list. The 2nd player on there is that far off...

I bet your team would rather trade for Blount?

Wouldn't be so sure. I think Jamaal Tinsley has a close 2nd or tied for 1st. Both are team viruses.

Miami would swap blount and Banks for Marbury in a NY minute.

I woulda said Chris Paul. Instead I'll choose walton cuz I hate his father

Lebron/Wade is the easy answer to this because of their age

Kobe would be 3rd

Hawkeye15
12-15-2008, 09:52 PM
for bad reasons, yes, Starbury. But, in all reality, Duncan is the most untradeable player in the NBA

Scalabrine for now, but next year, for sure he will be trade bait because of his expiring contract.

You could get something great in return for LeBron.... Kobe would be pissed if he got traded.

Scalabrine , if he got traded Boston would go into a riot......seriously

This Is An easy answer. It's not Lebron, Wade or any of those people that are available in 2010 b/c there all gonna leave now you could get something at least. Kobe has an opt out option and if you could get a lottery pick and an all star back its worth it b/c you don't want kobe to go all crazy again than you get nothing. It's either Yao Ming even though he's available in 2010 or dwight howard. Yao ming brought the rockets value upwards of 100 million dollars. Dwight Howard is dominant and hard to come by and locked up.

Almost all the players you listed CAN get traded.

More realistic questions is, what team would be LEAST to trade there star player.

I'd say Tim Duncan or D. Howard

Walton has been starting for the Lakers recently, how is he on this list?

KKell2507
12-15-2008, 10:35 PM
definately chris paul or tim duncan. dwight howard a close 2nd to those. others could be traded so there team doesnt lose them for nothing in free agency.

juggla53
12-15-2008, 11:18 PM
any player would be tradeable if they were threatening to leave via free agency and the team just wanted to get something in return. But like somebody mentioned earlier i would have to say Tim Duncan, hes a god in San Antonio and seeing him in any other uniform would probabley cause a riot at the alamo. Id expect him and coach Pop to retire together to signal the end of an era in San Antonio.

Also any of the bums that are on the list would be very tradeable if their contracts were expiring the next year, because like we all know expiriring contracts are like gold in professional sports.

Since this list doesn't have Kenny Thomas on it it loses all credibility with me.

Kobe over lebron and wade just because they have a higher chance to leave otherwise

I would say CP3 because he's not a looming free agent and is up there with anybody in talent level.

calvin booth because his face scares too many children no city would let him in.

Kobe, if the cavs or heat traded LeBron/Wade they could justify it by saying they might leave in 2010 and they'd make a run at getting the player back in free agency, but fans would riot in L.A if Kobe got traded

Tkais9009

why is walton there?

x_notorious
12-16-2008, 12:07 AM
1. LeBron James
2. Dwight Howard
3. Chris Paul
4. Dwayne Wade
5. Kobe Bryant
6. Tim Duncan
7. Deron Williams
8. Chris Bosh
9. Yao Ming
10. Kevin Garnett

The margin is small between the players, but this the order, IMO. Pretty obvious.

Tim Duncan is actually the only player I just can't see traded under any circumstance, I could see it for anyone else but not Duncan.

I agree with 1-9 but number 10 doesnt really fit because KG has already been traded.

kobe, cuz he can only decide if he wants to get traded cuz of his no trade clause

EddieB

I say Lebran, because he is younger than Kobe and not injury prone like Whistle

ARMIN12NBA

Kobe Bryant has a NO-TRADE clause in his contract...Making him literally untradeable.

If its a star thing then Howard, LeBron, Wade, and etc.

If its just the unmovable contracts and just bad players who are cancers Starbury certainly would be up there.

Ditto...not much of a discussion. Any chance the Lakers trade Kobe for a situation that'll make things better for both THEM and HIM....no way.

Man you forgot Yao Ming. He is a cash cow and will probably retire as a Rocket.

Kyben36
12-16-2008, 08:06 AM
Eddie Curry by far. He is a 3 year contract and He cant even prove himself to get out of there becasue he is stuck on the bench. But realy all the other players mentioned could be traded. I mean with the treat of 2010 the heat may just trade Wade, Same with the Raptors and the Suns. Untradeable means that he can not be traded by his team even if they wanted to. I have not seen one player good enough to say he is so good that they want to trade him But cant. The only way you are untradeable is if another team wont except you.

SteveNash
12-16-2008, 08:07 AM
Kobe, no trade clause.
Rashard Lewis, contract.
Gilbert Arenas, contract, injuries.

marbury but if we release him a lot of teams would be interested

Isnt Kobe the hardest to trade since he has that trade clause thingy where he decides where he goes?

Kyben36
12-16-2008, 10:16 AM
Yes but he was interested in going to Chicago just last year and would have excepted if we could have kept deng in Chicago along with Kobe. Kobe wanted Deng on the Bulls and would not except without him. But plenty of players have No trade Clauses

Gilbert Arenas, contract, injuries.

I completely agree...he has barely played since his contract signing...he of course can change this by coming back and being the Arenas of old...but as of RIGHT NOW....Arenas is the answer to this question...

mavwar53
12-16-2008, 12:46 PM
We are talking hardest to trade right kobe lebron wade CP3 any team would try to trade for them, the most untradable player would be eddy curry, or jerome james, knicks gave them both huge contracts and they both are slow and don't have much skill. With that big body curry can't even rebound, I would have said the custodian brian cardinal but he was traded over the summer. I take untradable as if I had a player and I wanted to trade him I couldn't not if I wanted a player I couldn't get him. Rashard lewis is in the conversation also with 4 years left after this year and it will be around 20 mil a year no one wants that from a guy who just shoots and with the class of 2010 FA coming up.
